How to fit a hat with a pompon - for beginners master

Knitted hats have always been popular due to their versatility and convenience. Due to the simplicity of the performance, many knitters started their training with knitting hats and scarves, but even the most experienced masters find interesting models for themselves, which the changing fashion tells us.

For headdresses are used a variety of patterns - it can be jacquard with Norwegian stars, Irish braids and arans, or one of the many options for elastic bands. Today we will learn how to tie a hat with a pompon, choosing a pattern leaving it to your discretion.

What should I consider when choosing yarn for a hat? Regardless of whether it will be winter or demi-season, the thread from which the cap with the pompon is tied should have an elasticity that allows the finished product to fit tightly around the head, but not cause inconvenience. So let's leave the cotton for the pans and berets, and pay attention to the woolen threads. Unlike acrylic, this yarn does not stretch and does not give peeling with prolonged wearing.

Sample:

Type 20 spokes on the knitting needles and knit with a rubber band 2x2 five - eight rows. The resulting sample is measured with a ruler and determine how many loops the cap with the pompon of the desired size will require. Typically, this is 120 loops for medium-thick yarn, plus 2 edge loops when knitting on two spokes.

Beginning of work:

Now we can type the necessary number of loops and knit a lap wide with a rubber band 6-8 cm. The rubber band report can be different: 3x2 or 1x1, according to your taste.

Once the lapel is ready, let's move on to knitting the picture. A smart hat with a pompon will be obtained if you tie it with braids. The number of loops for such a pattern must be a multiple of 10. The edge loop is removed and we sew 2 loops, then 6 front, 4 purl, repeat 11 times, 6 face and 3 purl. In the purl rows, knit loops according to the pattern. In this way we will bind 6 rows.

In the 7th row, the facial loops are crossed, forming a braid, for this, remove the first 3 facial loops on the additional spoke, leave it behind the work, we sew the 3 remaining facial and 3 loops from the additional knitting needle. We sew the new ones unchanged, repeat the report every 8 rows.

When our hat with a pompon reaches the desired size (20 - 25 cm, depending on the desire), it is necessary to remove the loops from the needle on the needle with a strong thread, tighten and tie the thread. If the product was knit on 2 spokes, it remains to connect the seam with tambour stitches and make a pompom.

We make a pompom:

On any piece of cardboard we draw 2 circles, the inner diameter is 2 - 3 cm, the outer one - the desired size of the pompon. Cut out the "bagel" and make around the inside of the loop of a strong thread, with it we will tie the ready pompom. Yarn color hats or a few selected shades wrap the workpiece so that the thread lies over the hinge. Once sufficient, in your opinion, the number of rows is wound up, we cut the thread and tighten the loop as tight as possible, fixing the pompon. It remains to cut the yarn along the outer edge of the workpiece and remove the cardboard. Our pompon is ready, and with the end of the fixing thread it can be sewn to the cap.

I hope that this knitted cap with a pompon will become your favorite thing or gift to an expensive person, because it is made by yourself.
