How to draw a rocket and an astronaut: step by step instruction

The interest of children - and of the adult population - to open space (unknown planets, unprecedented inhabitants and civilizations, flights to distant worlds) has always "off-scale". Was it related to the propaganda of the space itself or simply explained by the romantic mood? It's hard to say for sure.

Remember the question from childhood: "What do you want to become?"

So, a good half of the children in the USSR were frankly confessed: an astronaut! It seemed to us that this profession is connected with adventure, risk, good physical training and other qualities that determine the hero. And who did not want to become as a child? And the question of how to draw a rocket and an astronaut, in general was one of the main for a young artist. Today we will try to do it. We need a piece of paper, simple pencils or embossing coals, an eraser for the drawing. Subsequently, in order to make an image in color, you will need colors (gouache or watercolor), but you can also use pens!

First about how to draw a space rocket

This is a flying vehicle, which has long been used for flying. And, of course, not a single space trip without it will not do.

Step 1. Let's arrange a piece of A4 paper vertically (book version). Let's sketch the space object with a pencil - a simple, average softness. The rocket body itself is a geometric figure (or rather, their totality). It's more like a cylinder, pointed upward. Draw and correct with the eraser. If the lines of your drawing are not exactly accurate, do not get discouraged. Better with easy strokes correct, giving them the right direction.

Step 2. At the rocket below we draw a sketch of the tail-stabilizer. It actually needs to balance the device in flight. This is also a geometric figure: a triangle and a quadrilateral located on the sides. Smooth the corners of the parts and sharpen the tips.

Step 3. At the top of the object, we represent several small holes - portholes (again geometry - circles). The head of the rocket is also pointed upward.

Step 4. And now erase all unnecessary lines with an eraser, apply shadows, draw details. The missile is ready for flight! But this is only half of our picture. Let's rest for a bit and then proceed to further work on the image.

Pilot

Now we will consider how to draw a cosmonaut in a pencil step by step. The pilot is the person who will control our rocket. You can draw it standing next to the aircraft. So, let's continue the lesson on how to draw a rocket and an astronaut. The pilot will be dressed in a protective suit.

Step 1. To the right or to the left of the rocket we plan a figure of our astronaut: a large head (because of a helmet), rounded contours of hands and feet dressed in a space suit. Belt of a spacesuit and a backpack behind shoulders. We sketch light strokes-lines.

Step 2. We begin to draw the details of the spacesuit (for this we must first look at the image of the space suit). And also mittens, all kinds of appliances, hoses (everything is big enough).

Step 3. An important part of our drawing is the helmet. We detail the opening for the eyes, making it bulky. Shade around the edges, remove the extra lines.

Step 4. We continue the lesson on how to draw a rocket and an astronaut. We start to depict shoes. And also rivets, a backpack, etc. - all sorts of little things and accessories.

Flight of fantasy

The most important thing now is to harmoniously combine both parts of the picture. That is, so that the astronaut does not exceed the rocket by its height. That the lines smoothly passed from one part to another. Do not be afraid to experiment with the eraser and coals. Think about the entourage: not only how to draw a rocket and an astronaut, but also what surrounds them. If you want to portray a flying pilot, then he must soar in weightlessness, surrounded by stars and planets against the background of the night cosmic sky. If on the ground, then at the cosmodrome.

Colorize

And now our drawing can be painted, bright gouache, for example. Or multi-colored markers - it will be good too! Good luck with your creative work!
