How to draw a frog: natural and cartoon

Do you need to portray a frog for school, a serious biological project or just for the soul? Or maybe the child is already asking for a day: "Well, draw it!"? Nothing is easier! Following simple step-by-step instructions, we'll figure out how to draw a frog in different styles. In the first master class, it will look like real, and in the second - it will become a funny cartoon character.

What will it take to work?

We will paint with a comfortable soft pencil. In addition, of course, you need a thick paper, an eraser, as well as markers or colored pencils for coloring. Check if there are green and black shades in the box - without them in any way!

How to draw a frog in stages

Step one. Draw the body of the frog in the form of an elongated oval, and then make one side of it tapering to the bottom. We add two small circles in the upper part, where the future head is - it will be the eyes. Draw them so that one overlaps the other.

Step two. From the body we pass to the extremities: we draw the rear and front paws with the fingers. This is quite easy when you look at the picture. Well, if the first time does not work, you can always erase unnecessary. We designate the nostrils and mouth in the form of a smooth semicircle, with a ledge in the middle.

Step three. Add details: draw pupils, nostrils, upper lip, denote a smile with a stroke, an additional horizontal line just below the middle of the trunk we form the abdomen.

Step four. On the back we draw small circles and ovals of different shapes to illustrate the warty texture of the body of the frog. Do not make them too much - five to six pieces is enough. The resulting drawing can be circled with a marker or a black pen, and erase the pencil sketch with an eraser.

Step five. Will have to add colors - and it's ready! Use dark and light green shades for the back, and cream or sand for the abdomen. The frog turned out well just like living!

How to draw a frog-cartoon

This master class is even simpler. With him, even a five-year-old child who wondered "How to draw a frog with a pencil?" Can easily cope with it.

First, we draw a flattened oval, and below it there is another oval, a squat shape, resting on the first. It will be head and body. From the bottom you need to draw long legs with pointed fingers. In the upper part of the leg we will have a single design. On the body we draw two small forelegs.

On the head, where the eyes should be located, draw two pretty large circles, and in them - the pupils. Under them draw a smile in the form of a rounded line. On the front paws, too, we form pointed fingers, according to the same pattern as on the legs, but much less.

It remains to draw the contours of the whole frog with a marker or to put more effort in simple pencil. Eraser erase all unnecessary, remove the errors that have arisen in the process. We color the frog at our discretion. It is possible and necessary to use color transitions, from light to dark, so that the picture is bigger and richer. It is also appropriate to have pink dimples on the cheeks.
