How to draw a ballerina in motion

It would seem that a person in motion is difficult to draw. But for those who really want to learn the basics of fine art, nothing is impossible. The main thing is to have patience and hone your skills step by step. Let's try, first, to draw a ballerina standing in the pose "swallow". It's not as difficult as it might seem at first glance. Therefore, we take a sheet of paper, a pencil, a soft rubber band and begin to create.

Before drawing a ballerina, you need to outline its so-called base. It will consist of three circles and the lines connecting them. Circles are placed in such a way as if the ballerina is standing in your profile, with her head tilted slightly back. The first circle is, in fact, the head itself, the second - the thorax and the third - the hips. Since the dancer's posture assumes a curved back, therefore, the circles should be positioned in such a way that when they are connected by means of auxiliary lines an angle is formed.

The next step, how to draw a ballerina, will be a schematic image of her limbs. To the second circle, we draw a barely curved line, directed backwards. It will be a hand. To the very lowest circle we add lines that then "transform" into the legs: one will stand on one dancer, and the other will be pulled back, parallel to the floor or slightly higher. After this, you can draw the limbs in more detail.

Imagine that the schematic lines are bones, so they should be as if inside the hands and feet. To keep the proportions, keep in mind that the length of the arm from shoulder to elbow is equal to the length from the elbow to the wrist. The same with the legs: the distance from the hip to the knee is equal to the distance from the knee to the ankle. In order not to be mistaken in growth, it is necessary to remember that the head of an adult person "fits" seven times the length of the rest of the body (up to the ankle).

Now we proceed to the next stage of solving the problem, how to draw a ballerina. You need to chart her face in profile, as well as her hair. We detail the arm and trunk, we add a bend of the back, we plan the chest, stomach and waist. Draw the legs, add pointes. On the third circle (thighs) we outline the skirt of the pack, which looks like a slightly curved disc. The edges of the skirt are wavy. A little lower you can make a couple more layers of "waviness", so that the bundle looks more magnificent.

When you are satisfied with the sketch, then the contours of the dancer can be outlined more confidently, and erase all auxiliary and superfluous lines with an elastic band. It is worth noting that the second hand of the girl, withdrawn in the other direction, should also be slightly visible, but, according to the law of perspective, it will seem less. Draw her.

As we draw a ballerina, we can fantasize and decorate her outfit. Maybe it will be an original neckline or a closed neckline, or unusual sleeves. You might want her to wear gloves. You can also think about her hair, add a diadem or other decoration. If desired, you can colorize the finished drawing. Now you theoretically know how to draw a ballerina. It remains to apply their knowledge in practice and believe that everything will undoubtedly turn out.
