Massage as one of the methods of managing well-being is known for many centuries. But not everyone knows how to do the massage correctly. After all, this is a special art and a whole science, which is not easy to master.

So how to do a massage? There is a large number of different techniques for manual therapy, in which dozens of methods of massaging and rubbing are used. But whatever kind is chosen, there are general rules for carrying out the massage, which should be adhered to in order to achieve the maximum effect and not harm at the same time. Massage can not be done too quickly or strongly. The feeling of pain after the procedure can be dangerous to health. All movements must be carried out along the lymphatic path, that is, from the periphery to the center. So, the hands are massaged in the direction from the brush to the axillary cavities, including the elbow joint, the legs should be massaged from the foot to the knee, the thorax from the sternum to the armpits. During the therapy session, the spine and lymph nodes should not be used.

Before you do the massage, you need to make sure that the person has taken a comfortable position and relaxed. The session should begin with strokes, which are produced by the entire palm along the lymph nodes. These movements should be moderately intense. Stroking should warm up the skin and prepare it for further use. After several such movements, you can go to tapping or pinching. By the way, every trick is to be finished with stroking. Slight strokes of the back surface of the fingers should gently tap the area where the massage is performed. Tingling consists in squeezing the skin between two fingers with subsequent pulling. After these techniques, you can proceed to kneading, which is superficial or deep. With surface kneading, you need to rub the massaged part of the body with the pads of your fingers, and deep rubbing is carried out with the edge of the palm. Then you can go to light cotton, which are made with hands. Such movements will revitalize and soothe the skin. You need to stroke the procedure.

Legs are an important part of the body - they are constantly working, allowing a person to walk and carry heavy things. Therefore, you need to periodically take care of them and let them rest. Do a foot massage, because it not only calms the pain, but also relaxes and improves blood circulation. Before you do a foot massage, turn on your favorite music and make sure that no one interferes with your rest. Sit comfortably, stretch your legs and stay in that position for several minutes. If you are doing a massage yourself, put your feet so that you can comfortably do it. Rub the lotion or oil in hands and rub your lower leg with warm hands. Kneading and stroking are a good start to the massage. Use your thumb to make circular or point movements. Then go on to intensive movements, vigorously massaging the foot from the foot to the knee. Change the speed of movements and use various techniques - tingling and patting stimulate blood circulation, and, thus, help to achieve greater effect. End the massage with light, relaxing touches with stroking.

More difficult to perform is Thai massage, which is a synthesis of different relaxation techniques, including acupressure and passive yoga. The technique includes movements aimed at stretching the fingers, legs and ears. Such a massage lasts no less than two hours.

And how to do Thai massage? A person should wear loose clothes and sit comfortably on a mattress of moderate flexibility. Massage is performed by hands, fingers, elbows, forearm and, most importantly, by feet. The person is massaged in different positions and from different sides. Unlike the classical version, the main method in Thai massage is pressing all parts of the body. There are no templates here, and all movements are performed according to the wishes and needs of the particular patient. Massage begins with the feet and hands, smoothly passes to the body and again returns to the limbs. First, the pressure is soft enough, but gradually becomes more intense. With Thai massage, all parts of the body are worked through by affecting the intersection points of invisible energy lines.

Each of these methods differently affect the human skin, its nervous system and fat tissue, but in combination they help improve blood circulation and normalize blood pressure. Be sure, before you do the massage, you need to make sure there are no possible contraindications.
