Who is entitled to child allowance before 18 years of age?

Everyone knows that living on social benefits in Russia is impossible. But why not take advantage of your rights and not formalize everything that is legally required, benefits and benefits? Children's allowance under the age of 18 is provided to low-income families. To obtain this status, the family must have income that does not exceed the subsistence minimum.

Who is entitled to payment before adulthood?

To receive a monthly allowance for a child, you need to contact the regional branch of the social protection authorities. Important! You can not go to any branch, but only to the one to which the address of the registration of one of the parents relates. Allowances for children under 18 years of age must be paid to children from low-income families, single mothers, children of military personnel and those whose parents are convicted of evading payment of alimony. There are also separate benefits for children and disabled parents, payments for the loss of a bread-winner in the event of the death of one of the parents. All funds are transferred to the bank account specified by the applicant (or postal items). In addition to cash payments, there are also social benefits for low-income families: provision of places in kindergartens and schools, rest on special conditions and treatment in sanatorium-and-spa institutions.

Child allowance under 18: what is the amount?

The formation of the size of payments is influenced by the regional factor. For example, a minimum for the capital - from 700 rubles a month for each of the family members who have not reached adulthood.

How to apply for children under 18?

To receive monthly compensation payments, it is necessary to prepare a number of documents. You will need originals and copies of the passport of the parent (or guardian) issuing the allowance, and birth certificates (or passports) of all minor children in the family. A certificate on the composition of the family is needed (it is made when you apply to the passport office, and the period of its relevance is one calendar month). Documents will also be required to confirm the income (or its complete absence) for each of the parents. These are: certificates from work, extracts from labor books or certificates from the Pension Fund. If one of the parents does not work, but at the same time gets an education, then it is required to present a certificate from the educational institution or from the Employment Center.

If a child allowance of up to 18 years is appointed by the loss of the breadwinner, or if the parent evades payment of maintenance, you will need to provide a certificate of the death of the parent (or a certificate from the court). Single mothers will also have to confirm their status with the appropriate certificate. To pay for the care of a disabled child (or HIV infected), the relevant medical documents are provided. If the family is disabled not only one or both parents, but also the child (children), then certificates or extracts from the medical history will be needed.

When registering documents, do not forget that the child allowance is paid only to the age of 18 if the child is a student of any educational institution. If the child does not study, the payments are terminated on the day of reaching the age of 16 years.
