How to Cure Cerebral Atherosclerosis

Cerebral atherosclerosis is a condition manifested by a progressive and wide disorder of various functions of the brain, due to inadequate cerebral circulation. In connection with the presence of this pathology, cerebral vessels are one of the main risk factors for the development and progression of circulatory disorders in the brain, so the prevention of cerebral atherosclerosis is primarily a primary prevention of stroke.

Symptoms of cerebral atherosclerosis

Despite the fact that cerebral atherosclerosis is an age pathology (A.Ya. Mints, 1970), its clinical manifestations can be observed in people of any age. Initial manifestations of cerebral atherosclerotic process in people of elderly or middle age are often not diagnosed. Typical complaints of patients in this period are reduced work capacity, frequent fatigue, poor memory, especially for current events, inadequate sleep, mood swings, irritability, cowardice, hypochondriacal, depressive and phobic phenomena.

Important features of asthenic syndrome in patients with atherosclerotic encephalopathy are its dynamism, the dependence of distinguishing its characteristics from a number of factors, including: fatigue, lack of sleep, etc. Neurasthenic syndrome in cerebral atherosclerosis of the initial stages, as a rule, is accompanied by organic neurological microsymptomatics, namely: weakening the convergence of eyeballs, the formation of subclinical insufficiency of the cranial nerves, the appearance of light pyramidal, extrapyramidal symptoms, light static-dynamic disorders, and vegetative regulation disorders. Later, the disease, cerebral atherosclerosis, the symptoms of which "outgrow" into other more massive disorders (focal and diffuse neurological and psychopathological disorders), completely cure is very difficult.

The signs, previously dynamic, turned out to be only under certain unfavorable conditions and, of course, relatively easily compensated, becoming more stable, stable, and constantly present in the clinical picture of the disease. A significant evolution is made by emotional disorders in the direction of predominance, which is expressed by cowardice. The development of dysphoria in a complicated organic form affects the human response.

Cerebral atherosclerosis - treatment

To cure cerebral atherosclerosis, it is necessary to adhere to the recommended diet. Eliminate the food products containing large amounts of cholesterol or eat them a little. If the stage of the disease is early, and the size of the sclerotic plaque is small, then cerebral atherosclerosis can be cured by supporting a healthy lifestyle. It is necessary to give up smoking and alcoholic beverages, do daily exercises, give mental loads, eat as much plant food as possible, and, most importantly, remain at rest. Within a month it is recommended to take drugs that lower the level of cholesterol in the blood. If the disease is in the middle stage, then it is necessary to take drugs that increase the rate of blood flow in the body. In addition to these drugs, drugs that prevent the formation of blood clots in the vessels are taken. At the doctor's discretion, special physical exercises and procedures are prescribed.

When the disease is at the last stage, the only way out for safe treatment is to remove the plaque from the vessel. It is best to go through the examination at the appearance of the first signs of the disease, then to cure cerebral atherosclerosis will not be very difficult.
