How to cook an incredibly delicious Caesar salad with shrimps

Caesar salad with shrimps is deservedly considered one of the favorite dishes of gourmets around the world. Traditionally, this salad is prepared with a sauce based on raw yolks, but today we suggest you try it with a sauce based on mayonnaise, lemon juice and olive oil.

How to cook Caesar with shrimps? First, let's define the ingredients.


Composition:

  • Romaine lettuce or Iceberg - one bunch;
  • Shrimp - use the ones that you like most, of any kind and size;
  • Quail eggs (you can use the usual ones);
  • Cherry tomatoes;
  • Cheese (preferably Parmesan).

For toast:

  • Bread (black or white);
  • olive oil;
  • garlic.

For sauce:

  • mayonnaise;
  • olive oil;
  • Fresh lemon juice.
  • Garlic (can be used as fresh, for a brighter and piquant taste, and baked - for a softer taste and aroma);
  • Ground black and red pepper (to taste).

Salad cocktail with shrimp is prepared in several stages. The first involves the direct preparation of all ingredients. The second stage - mixing, dressing the salad dressing before serving the dish on the table. So, let's prepare it.

For toast we use yesterday's bread - it does not crumble when sliced and is optimally suited for making crunches. Cut it into small cubes, 0.5-1 cm in size, previously cutting off the rough crust. Grind a few cloves of garlic and fry them in olive oil. When garlic will acquire a golden hue, carefully lay it out and fry the crackers on this oil. You can give the butter a pleasant garlic flavor, after first pressing it on garlic. To do this, also chop garlic, pour it with olive oil and let it brew for several hours. Before use, filter. Gently stirring, fry the bread on high heat. When croutons will acquire a golden hue, we spread them on a plate with a paper towel - it will absorb excess oil. We leave to cool down.


It is impossible to prepare a salad "Caesar" with shrimps without greens, so proceed to the leaves of the salad. They must be thoroughly washed from dust and dirt, and then thoroughly dried. It is very important to use dry leaves, without moisture, and pre-chilled. First, I each leaf separately, dried with paper towels, then put them for a while in the fridge.

Sauce. Without it, it's also difficult to imagine an appetizing Caesar salad with shrimps. For its preparation it is best to use a blender - it will provide a homogeneous, airy and well-beaten consistency. In the blender container we put all the products: mayonnaise, olive oil and lemon juice. Beat, at the end, add grated Parmesan. When the sauce is whipped, put it in the fridge to lettuce leaves.

Shrimp. Separate the meat from the shell and fry directly during the assembly of the salad, as when cooling down, the shrimp meat becomes denser, resembling rubber. At this stage of preparation it is very important not to fry the shrimps, but to remove them from the fire, once the meat has become opaque and has acquired a slight reddish shade.


While the fried prawns are cooling down, we begin to "assemble" our dish. In order to properly make a Caesar salad with shrimps, take chilled lettuce leaves, tear their hands into small pieces (if they are cut with a knife, they will be bitter), put half the rusks, some of the Parmesan cheese and a little sauce. All gently mix. Next, the salad should be put on a plate, put the remaining crackers on top, cut into halves of the cherry, put them on a salad, then lay the prawns on top and sprinkle generously with grated parmesan.
