How to choose trees for summer residence

What trees to plant in the country? It is clear that the beauty of the country plot depends not only on brightly flowering flower beds and well-kept beds. A large role is played by healthy and properly planted trees. First you need to deal with the already growing plants on the plot. If among them there are old or sick, it is better to uproot them, since after a while they will in any case perish. What's next? And then you should decide which ones you want to grow trees. For cottages fit like fruit, and coniferous or deciduous. Several factors can play a role here: these are your preferences, the functionality of the site, and the size of the free space.

Of course, the site has a certain significance for you. Someone acquires a dacha just for rest (no beds and other work), and someone, on the contrary, an amateur boasts a crop grown by his own hands. This is one side of the question. And the second side is the size of the plot and the dimensions of the buildings on it. It happens that the site is small, and the house is built solid, and it remains only to grow decorative trees in the country (photo below).

If it is important for you that the trees grow faster, then choose elder, hazel, bird cherry or chubushnik. Fans of decorative need to pay attention to stunted conifers. But still with fruit garden associated more fruit trees. To give this is a more reasonable and profitable solution. You can admire the beauty of a flowering garden, and try your own fruit.

For the purchase of any tree, it is best to go to the local nurseries, because there are cultivated varieties adapted to the local climate. There you can find out some points. For example, how resistant is the tree to frost, disease and pests that are prevalent in your area. If these are fruit plants, then the yield and, undoubtedly, the taste qualities of fruits are important. The rest of the trees for the dacha do not have to be huge. Otherwise, you can turn your site into forest thickets and provoke quarrels with neighbors because of the shading of their sites. Therefore, ask how big the plant will grow.

But if you really want to grow a big tree, then there is one landscape technique that allows you to do this even on a small plot. The composition should consist of one large tree surrounded by small plants. For such a case, Siberian fir can perfectly match. Firstly, it reaches a height of 30 meters, and, secondly, the crown is pyramidal. As a low growing plant, you can use dwarf slow growing spruce. Combine coniferous and deciduous trees with caution. Do not place dwarf conifers under tall deciduous trees. Falling foliage in the fall has a harmful effect on coniferous trees .

If you still choose fruit trees for cottages, then buy different varieties. This will promote good pollination. Too close to each other saplings can not be placed, it all depends on the size of an adult tree. But if the plants are ordinary, then they are planted at a distance of three meters. To the fence, they should also be no closer than three meters, an exception may be an agreement with the neighbors. But near the fence you can get a great flower bed or a garden bed for greenery. As you can see, there are many options, you just need to prioritize and start acting!
