Fusarium - aster disease

Astra is a flower that pleases us with its beauty in the beginning of autumn. Bright colors, it adorns gardens and parks. But sometimes, many asters, diseases and pests which we consider in this article, do not look very nice, and sometimes even completely die. Therefore, you must constantly monitor the plant. There are about 24 different diseases in asters. In most cases, the disease manifests itself on leaves that start to frown, and colors. The sick plant ceases to grow at all.

To protect the flower from this, it is recommended to use healthy seeds and seedlings. The varieties that you have chosen for planting must resist viruses. It is also necessary to constantly monitor the condition of the plant, to fight against insects, which carry the disease. Another condition - constantly clean infected and sick flowers. Astra, whose diseases we now consider, becomes infected mainly when grown up well.

The first and most dangerous disease is fusariosis. This disease asters are obtained from the soil, from the fungus, which is called fusarium. The virus enters the plant through the root system and infects it completely. If at that moment the aster is blossoming or just picking a bud, then most likely it will just wither. Young plants are infected with this virus very rarely. When an aster falls ill, it first turns into yellow leaves, then they become brown, and then just curl and fall off. On the stems there are spots of brown color, and near the roots and at all the dark stripes - this is the blame for this disease. Asters are covered with a touch of pink - this is the main sign of fusariosis. This disease affects only annual flowers. To deal with it, you need: to ensure the correct rotation; Seeds before sowing are processed with 0,2% solution of foundation and 0,1% of topsin; It is necessary to spray an astra of 0.5% of copper chloride regularly; The land on which the diseased plants were located is disinfected with quicklime.

Another known aster disease is the black leg. Fungus, which affects the flower, quickly spreads in acidic soils. First, the seedlings begin to blacken, then the roots decay, which contributes to the wilt of the stem. As a result, the plant tends to the ground and dies. With a black leg can be fought in the following ways: the soil must be treated with a one-percent solution of potassium permanganate (100 g per 10 l); Still there is a folk remedy - 20 g of peeled onion should be poured 1 liter of water, leave to infuse for 1 day, then strain and every 6 days to spray flowers 3 times.

The third aster disease, which we will consider, is jaundice. This disease is transmitted to aphids. The infected plant has light leaves and green buds. Astra ceases to develop upward, and, conversely, grows to the side. With this disease it is necessary to fight in the following way: in order to get rid of carriers - aphids, the plant needs to be treated with a solution containing 0.1% of actinic and intavir, 2% of pyrethrum and 8% of yarrow, which is diluted with 0.2% of soap solution.

If you consider all these recommendations, your asters will always be healthy and beautiful.
