How to calculate the heating system
Calculating the heating system is a time-consuming and at the same time an interesting process that will become an integral part of creating and maintaining a home cosiness. The individual heating system is now particularly popular and is the best option for installation in a private home.
Calculation of the heating system of the house begins, of course, with the choice of the generator of thermal energy. It is his power that will be taken into account first. The source of heat in the domestic water heating system is likely to be a boiler. These devices are usually classified into electric, liquid fuel, solid fuel, as well as gas and combined.
Naturally, the final result depends on the capacity of the selected boiler and whether the heating system will have enough energy to warm the room well to a comfortable temperature in the cold season. At the same time, when calculating the heating system, it is impossible to stop at boilers with excessive capacity, because the over-expenditure of energy will result in unnecessary financial costs. Thus, in order to rationally spend resources and achieve the desired result, you need to follow the advice of specialists. They note that the calculation of the heating system of a private house should begin with the choice of boiler output. First you need to calculate the following parameters:
- The size of the living area that will need to be heated;
- Specific heat source power per 10 cubic meters of living space.
Specific capacity of the boiler is chosen depending on the climatic characteristics of the area in which the heated room is located. For example, for Moscow Region it is expedient to select a generator with a capacity of up to one and a half kilowatts, and for the southern regions it will be enough 0.9 kilowatts.
The final power of the boiler for the house is calculated by multiplying the area of the room by the specific power. Then the obtained value must be divided by 10. Most often, the value of the specific power of the boiler is taken as one, which is the average value. This approach will make the calculation of the heating system as convenient as possible.
Of course, such calculations are performed on the basis of average weather conditions, which almost never remain constant and vary with the time of the year. Differently affecting the temperature in the house, wind or solar radiation make it necessary to constantly adjust the intensity of the heating equipment.
Thus, the calculation of the heating system will imply and regulation - qualitative or quantitative. A qualitative change is characterized by the regulation of the coolant itself, and the quantitative change is effected by changing the volume of fluid supplied to the heating system.
These regulatory processes can be automated. They will occur depending on external weather conditions or in case of deviation from the norm - a pre-selected room air temperature.
