The cable jack operates as follows. Through the central hole of the drum in the device, an opening is made for the jack axis on which the centering bushings or cones are mounted. In this case, the special paddles move along this axis to the cheek of the rotating drum and are fixed by means of a clamp. Racks are mounted on this device on both sides. Thus, they provide a working gap between the rack design and the cheek of the drum. As a rule, this value does not exceed a mark of 10 centimeters. Why on the cable jack (DK 5 including) it is impossible to establish a greater backlash? The fact is that as the distance between these two devices increases, the bending moment of the axis will increase, and this, in turn, can lead to breakdown and failure of the entire mechanism.

As for the lodgment, they are combined with the axis of the cable drum and are used as a lifting mechanism. At the same time, it is not important whether the screw is a pair or a hydraulic system. The height of the lifting of the coil is about 50-100 millimeters.

Hydraulic devices are special in their own way. Their design assumes the presence of a special hydraulic cylinder or a jack, which serves as the main lifting mechanism. In such tools, the process of lifting the coil occurs by reciprocating the handle of the hydraulic jack or the hydraulic station.

Lever devices are a complex of jacks in which the lifting of the cable drum is carried out using a special lever. This detail is assigned to all efforts that develop due to the difference between the arms of the cradle and the handle relative to the central fulcrum.

Thus, a cable jack is a mechanism that can lift a cable drum with different devices to a certain height, but not more than 50 or 100 millimeters.
