To cut a tile by this method, it is necessary to put a marking on it, place it on the base of the tile cutter, tightly pressing it against the ruler-stop. Then, holding the handle, hold it on the tile in the direction away from you, while applying a small pressing effort. Then slightly press on the lever - from the effect of the corner located on the handle, the tile will break exactly along the line of the cut.

To achieve the desired result, the tile cutter is best attached to the floor or other flat surface (for this, it has holes for fasteners). In addition, you can drip a couple of drops of engine oil on the cutting wheel.

3. Electric tile cutter

And what are the real professionals cutting ceramic tiles ? Electric tile cutter. It is worth such a tool not cheap, but its diamond disc is able to cut and more durable porcelain stoneware. In addition, the tiles, cut by electric tile cutters, have smooth, well rounded edges. That the dust and small particles do not pollute the room, there is a special tank with water in which they settle. When using electric tiles the work should be carried out in protective equipment - glasses and gloves.

4. Bulgarian

Also ceramic tiles can be cut with a Bulgarian. Very often it is used to perform figured sections. And although it cuts the tile almost like an electric glass cutter, cutting a bulgaria turns out to be less accurate, and on the cut remains jagged edges. Taking advantage of the Bulgarian should remember that this is a tool of increased danger. Therefore, special safety measures must be observed when working.
