The city of Bostad is a small and amazing resort

Once it was an old village on the shore of the Bay of Pacholms-Buchten. Today the city of Bostad is a fashionable resort with excellent restaurants and a large number of hotels.

In summer, life in the city is diverse and saturated with various activities. In Bostad almost all houses are new, as the fire of 1870 almost completely destroyed the city. But nevertheless some houses of "old" time which are on a charming street Agardsgatan, buried in beautiful roses were saved.

Numerous shops are located on the central street of the city. The central street ends at a wide area where the tourism bureau is located. Nearby is the Church of St. Mary, built in 1460. The Church is made of white marble. The church is very beautiful and can be seen from afar.

Cobbled streets of the city go down to the seaport. Here, on the shore, beautiful yachts are adorned, which are adjacent to simple fishing boats.

Since the island of Longholm, due to its geographical location, is remote and isolated, it served as a correctional colony from the middle of the 18th century until 1987.

In 1987, the prison was rebuilt into a youth tourist base.

The town of Stremstad - wonderful views and picturesque bay

The town of Stremstad is located on the shore of a picturesque bay. The town literally grew on gray and sea-polished rocks. It offers a wonderful view and a panorama of the sea.

Until 1658 Stremstad was a small fishing village and belonged to Norway. At the end of the 18th century, the town received a wide popularity of the resort, thanks to healing springs.

Now the city lives small enterprises of precision mechanics and electronics, tourism, catching mussels and shrimp.
