About 100 days the soldiers were tortured, brutally beaten and humiliated. Despite the unbearable pain, the threat of death, the soldiers did not take off their crosses. For this, Eugene was cut off his head, and the other co-workers were shot on the spot. For the martyrdom of Rodionov, Eugene was awarded the Order of Courage posthumously.

Yanina Irina - an example of heroism and courage

The exploits of Russian soldiers these days are not only the heroic deeds of men, but also the incredible valor of Russian women. A sweet fragile girl was a participant in two military operations as a nurse during the First Chechen War. 1999 was the third test in the life of Irina.

August 31, 1999 has become fatal. Under threat for his own life, nurse Yanina saved more than 40 people by making three trips to an armored personnel carrier on the line of fire. Irina's fourth trip ended tragically. Unfortunately for the girl, two grenades hit the armored personnel carrier. The nurse rushed to the aid of the wounded commander and 3rd rank. Irina saved young fighters from certain death, but did not manage to get out of the burning car herself. The ammunition of the BTR detonated.

For showing valor and courage to Yanina, Irina was awarded the title Hero of Russia posthumously. Irina is the only woman who was awarded this title for operations in the North Caucasus.

Beslan: no one is forgotten
