Where did he come from

It was obtained from hybridization of two other varieties - apples "mackintosh" and apples "papirovka". The selection was carried out by the Mliev Experimental Station for Horticulture. L. Simirenko. Breeders P. Tsekhmistrenko and L. Ro received a new kind of trees, which were named "glory to the winners." A variety of apples was bred by them in 1928.

These apple trees are late or summer varieties. Ripen fruits in the autumn. The climate and soils of the central regions of the Russian Federation are most suitable for them. But now it is grown almost in all regions where they are engaged in industrial gardening, and also it is popular in the territory of the states of the former USSR.

The appearance of the tree

The bark of the tree is brown. Its main branches move away from the main trunk in such a way that sharp corners are formed between them. In the Kuban, fruits begin to be harvested in the beginning or in the middle of August. In more northern regions - by the end of summer. Gardeners from the Orel region harvest at the very beginning of the autumn and store it until the winter. In southern areas, apples are kept only for two weeks.
