Gas hob: what you need to know

Perhaps the most favorite place of households is the kitchen. And what kind of kitchen without a gas stove?

Modern manufacturers offer various design and design solutions for slabs: separate cooking surfaces. The main ones are gas (for example, Gefest 2230 K2, Bosch PCP615B90E, Electrolux EHG6435X), electric (Gorenje ECT 640 ASC, Zanussi ZEV 6240 FBA), combined (BEKO HIW 64120 S, Smeg SRV563X-3) and induction (Bosch PIB 679T14E, Samsung CTN264EA01).

The most popular of all these is the gas cooking surface, which has its own characteristics and characteristics.

Choosing such an interior item as a frying surface, the gas surface is still more popular in comparison with the electric one.

The gas hob may be enameled, glass-ceramic, made of stainless steel or tempered glass.

The simplest in maintenance is the enamelled cooking surface gas. The main thing is a neat attitude towards it in order to avoid scratches and chips.

The surface of stainless steel is more capricious. Any imprint or a drop of liquid on it will make such a surface untidy, dirty. For this option, special cleaning agents are provided.

The most expensive is a gas cooktop made of glass ceramics. Such a surface is even. In view of the fact that the heating elements are under the surface, it looks neat and tidy. However, the surface of glass ceramics is prone to the rapid appearance of scratches, and the dirt from it must be removed quickly, so that there are no stains left on it.
It should be noted that such panels are equipped with two-circuit and three-contour burners, which are respectively 2 or 3 circles of different diameters. In addition, glass ceramic surfaces can have an indicator of residual heat that allows a person not to get burned.

Simplicity in care and a pleasant price category will please the surface of tempered glass. The price range of such a surface is lower than the surface range of the glass-ceramic.

Many manufacturers offer cooking surfaces independent or dependent on the oven. In the first case, the panel has a separate power source, so there are many options for its placement. In the second case, the surface should be located directly above the oven, thereby limiting the spatial possibilities for placing the panel.

In general, the panel has 4-5 burners, although they can be from 1 to 7.

Adjust the gas supply by using rotary switches, sensory or heated.
The first are rotary handles. The second - illuminated flat buttons that react to the touch of your fingers. The third switches prevent accidental shutoff of the gas supply, are highlighted.

Very often, the gas hob is equipped with a display, a timer that allows you to control the cooking time, as well as to see information about running mode.

When the flame is extinguished, the built-in gas control system automatically ceases to supply it. And, if necessary, the cooking surface itself can be blocked. Typically, the lock button is on the far side of the surface.

Particular attention should be given to such a parameter as the size of the panel, which depends on where this cooking surface will be located, and on the number of necessary burners. Also it is necessary to remember that near the hob, a table top can often be located, which allows to use the workspace effectively.
