Young years

What did Alexander Panov do? Football was his only hobby that changed his life. His first team was "Izhovets", coached by a wonderful children's mentor V. I. Timoshenko. It was this man who was able to see in Alexander a huge talent.

Successfully showing himself in "Izhovtsev", Panov moved to the children's and youth team of the main club of St. Petersburg - "Zenith".

Club career

The first season in "Zenith" Panov spent in a double. Gradually, he began to adapt to the new environment, progress in technology and understanding of the game. Speaking for the second "Zenith" in the second league, the young striker managed to score 16 goals in 24 matches and thus become the best goalscorer of the championship. It is no wonder that the next year (in 1994) Alexander becomes a player of the foundation of the St. Petersburg club. In the 1994 Russian Championship, the young striker played 25 games, in which he was able to "sign" 4 times at the gate of opponents.

However, the coaching staff of "Zenith", despite quite acceptable for the start of the career indicators, decided to abandon the services of the attacker. Next season, Alexander spent in the Vologda Dynamo. In this club, he was never able to break into the main team, appearing on the field for the entire championship in only 3 games, in which he failed to score a productive strike. Therefore, in 1996, Panov continued his career in the Championship of China, in the ranks of the club "Baokang". The talented striker in the new place just blossomed, demonstrating phenomenal performance - in 12 games Alexander managed to score 19 goals.

Such a successful performance Panova in the Chinese championship did not go unnoticed for the coach of Zenit Anatoly Byshovets. He decides to return Alexander to the St. Petersburg club. Return Panova in "Zenith" was very successful - he became the main player of the team. From 1997 to 2000, the striker held 90 matches in the Russian Championship, in which he managed to excel 25 times.

High-class forward game attracted the attention of European football breeders. In 2000, Panov agreed to continue his career in the French "Saint-Etienne". Unfortunately, numerous injuries did not allow Alexander to play in the new club - in 16 games he was able to mark only one goal. After another unsuccessful attempt to play in the European championship as part of the Swiss "Lausanne", the player decides to return to Russia.

From 2003 to 2007, Panov changed teams quite often. During this time he managed to play for St. Petersburg and Moscow "Dynamo", "Zenith" and Moscow "Torpedo". Especially memorable for the forward was the season of 2003, when, speaking in the first league for Dynamo (St. Petersburg), he was able to excel 23 goals in 36 games.

In 2007, due to age and numerous injuries, Panov actually had to finish his career. In 2010, Alexander made an attempt to return to the big football, scoring 2 goals in 8 matches in the "Torpedo", but these games were the last in his professional career.

National team appearances

After an impressive game in the Chinese championship and a successful return to Zenit, Panov received the first challenge to the Russian team. The first match for the main team of the country he held on November 15, 1998 against the vice-champions of the world team of Brazil. The game ended with a score of 5: 1 in favor of "ball wizards."

Of course, the most memorable match for Alexander was the game in the qualifying tournament for Euro-2000 with the French team. Acting at the time the world champions were defeated in their native "Park de Prens" with a score of 3: 2, and Panov was able to draw a double into the goal of Fabien Barthez.

The football school of Alexander Panov

Panov has repeatedly said that Russian football needs to be developed from the very bottom. The long-standing dream of the Kolpino rocket was the opening of its own football school. Recently he was able to realize it - together with his friend and partner Alexei Cherenkov, he founded a football school called "Panther".

Financing of the project almost completely fell on Alexander himself and his partner. Currently, the former Russian striker is looking for sponsors for the development of the children's football school, noting that at this stage we need stable financial injections.

Alexander sees his main task as distraction of children from the negative influence of the street and the adjustment of the training process. Currently, there are several groups in different cities. In the "Panther" come to deal with children of different ages - from 4 to 16 years.

Unfortunately, the football school of Panova does not yet have its own training base. Now there are active negotiations with the leadership of the "Oka", which has several football fields in Stupino.

Also Panov notes the importance of the construction of stadiums and grounds for amateur and children's football. He believes that only by developing the infrastructure of children's football, it is possible to raise the overall level of Russian sports.

Football league of Alexander Panov

The creators of the football school "Panther" also organized the football league of Alexander Panov. The main reason for its creation was the conviction of the hero of our story that the training process in children's and amateur football must necessarily be combined with the holding of various tournaments.

Under the auspices of the Panova Football League, championships for players of all ages are held. Particular attention is paid to the championships for children's, women's and veterans' teams. Tournaments are held in 5-by-5 and 8-by-8 format. Competitions are held at various venues.

At the moment, Panov actively invites football officials and leaders of the territories to cooperate in the development of their project. So far, it has been possible to reach an agreement on assistance with the leadership of the Amateur Football League.

A family

With his wife Panov met at school. An exemplary girl named Galya immediately won the heart of the future football star. She later became his wife. Now a happy married couple brings up three sons - Timothy, Nikita and Kuzma.
