Flowers of the bathing-place: a variety of varieties

The flowers of the bathing-place are one of the most fascinating plants lurking in the Russian forests and fields. In the southern regions they dissolve with the beginning of the swimming season, which determined their name. Also, the flower has the name of the frying (light), which it received because of the bright yellow or orange buds. Europeans call the plant a troll, and according to legend, it is a favorite flower of the same fairy-tale creatures.

Any summer resident will not miss the opportunity to have a bush knife on his plot. It's a shame that today the plant is more likely to be seen in flower gardens than in wildlife in forest glades, and some types of frying have fallen into the Red Book. Sometimes you can find some specimens on the banks of rivers, on meadows, ponds, where the soil practically does not dry out.

In flower gardens, European and Asian species and hybrids are usually bred.
The dilapidated variety of the European bathing suit reaches a height of 80 cm, blossoms at the end of May with lemon-yellow globular inflorescences 5 cm in diameter, located on long pedicels.

A sort of Asian bathing suit forms a shrub up to 70-80 centimeters high. In late May, the plant blossoms bright orange flowers up to 6 cm in diameter, you can admire about a month.

Among the trolls there are also their giants, reaching a height of one and a half meters (the highest bathing-place), the Chinese bathing-towel grows up a meter. Below is the Ledebur variety, dwarf plants are considered to be unstable and Dzungarian fry, which in natural conditions rarely reach 20 cm.

In Russia, cultivated plants begin to blossom at the end of May or the beginning of June, and the flowering period is 20-25 days.

Flowers of a bathing-place can grow in one place up to 10 years and in very favorable conditions grow very quickly. In the case of rapid formation of the bush, the plant should be divided into several parts and planted in a new place.

In natural conditions, the plant likes weak shading. At home, the bush is taken away from sunny areas, where the frying does not feel bad, but before it fades. The plant has a premature yellowing of the foliage, and more frequent watering is required. Perennials will like the light soil, with a low, close to neutral acidity, with a good content of peat, humus and sand. When planting bushes it is recommended to add a little moss-sphagnum and ash to the pit.

The flowers of the bathing-house are surprisingly unpretentious, but they have weak spots. Firstly, the plant does not tolerate stagnant groundwater, although it is very fond of moisture. During growth, abundant watering is required, especially in dry times. In the autumn period, the water supply should be reduced. For the bathing ladies prepare seats with good drainage. You can not dig a ground under a bush, this can lead to damage to the root system located at the surface. The soil is best kept in a wrapped state, pouring under the bush a mixture of sand with peat or humus.

The flowers of the bathing-house are practically not sick. For prevention several times a season it is necessary to treat the plant with wood ash, in the spring it is necessary to fertilize with nitrogen fertilizers. After the end of flowering, some gardeners cut off the leaves, in the place of which young people appear. Thus, the frying remains decorative until the end of the season, but in this case the plant is depleted. To prevent mushroom diseases, it is necessary to break dead leaves, leaving only the lower parts of the stems a few centimeters.

Adult bushes tolerate frosts well and do not require additional shelter.
The bathing-house replicates with seeds by self-seeding. Formed seedlings can be transplanted to a permanent place at the end of the summer. Not bad roots take root, planted in the form of young shoots growing from the edge of the bush.
