Fixture LSP: purpose and device
At present, the requirements to the sources of electricity are increasing. Lighting, especially in terms of saving e-mail. Energy. Such devices include a LSP lamp (a fluorescent luminaire with a dustproof protection). At the same level of illumination, it consumes half as much electricity as ordinary incandescent lamps. Luminescent lighting sources installed in it have a much longer lifespan than "Ilyich's bulbs."
Purpose and device
LSP can be installed on walls and on the ceiling. Usually it is used to illuminate industrial premises, in the air of which there is an increased content of dust and moisture. Increased moisture resistance is achieved by tightly pressing the plafond to the base of the luminaire with the help of special clamps, as well as a seal, laid along the entire perimeter of the base. The case of the lamp is made of metal. For those rooms where tightness is not so important, LSPs are used without a sealant with fewer clamps, with IP-43 protection. Their cost is less than that of airtight ones. The plafond is made of matte impact-resistant polymer glass. For ease of operation, it is attached to the metal base by a cord that allows it to be held in a detached position. It is not recommended to use a LSP in a residential building, but if you still decide to do this, you need to provide mixed lighting, that is, do not exclude joint use with incandescent lamps or others (for example, halogen or LED). This is necessary to reduce the harmful effect of fluorescent lighting on human vision.
Control gear
Fixture LSP is equipped with starting-regulating equipment (in common parlance - by a throttle), intended for ignition and maintenance of burning of a fluorescent lamp. The luminaire also includes:
- Starter involved in the ignition process;
- A capacitor designed to compensate for reactive power (the system, of course, can work without it, but at the same time, the efficiency will dramatically decrease).
Advantages of electronic ballasts
The above-described elements of the luminaire design have a number of disadvantages. For example, when working, the throttle may be buzzing, the lamps will glow for a long time before ignition, and the starter creates radio interference. Therefore, luminaires with electronic ballasts installed in them are becoming increasingly widespread. Let's consider their advantages:
- Saving e. Energy up to 30%;
- The service life of lamps is increased to 50% in comparison with those lamps in which electromagnetic ballasts are used;
- There is no pulsation of the light flux ;
- Lamps are switched on without delay;
- Perfectly soundless work;
- The mass of the device is smaller.
All these devices are powered from an alternating current network with a nominal voltage of 220 V.
