Features of installation of steel doors

Between the door frame and the opening there should be a gap of 20 millimeters on each side, if after removing the old box the gap is less, then the doorway is artificially expanded. After that, the box and the super metal doors themselves are fixed using wooden wedges and checked by level. Next, the master carefully drills holes in the wall through the wells in the box. After checking the normal functioning of the structure, it is finally fixed by anchor bolts or pins.

The fixing points from the inside are masked by plastic plugs in the tone of the frame. Now the final stage of installation begins - the remaining gaps are densely filled with mounting foam or filled with a heater. After this, it is necessary to tighten the upper and lower bolt, install locks and accessories. To remove associated contaminants, it is sufficient to wipe the surface of the product with a soft cloth, if necessary using a detergent.

At first glance, it seems that you can do the installation yourself, but this does not mean that everything will pass as expected. Even the slightest error can lead to a gradual skewing of the structure, failure or incorrect functioning of the locks. In addition, the manufacturer has the right to refuse the customer in warranty service, if the doors were installed without the participation of a professional. Therefore, it is much more practical to entrust the work to a master who has extensive experience in assembling metal doors.
