It so happened that the works of Mikhail Yurievich Lermontov are often studied in comparison with Pushkin. Although for all the seeming similarity, there is a very big difference between Pushkin and Lermontov.

Pushkin formed as a poet on the wave of the rise of the Decembrists movement, and Lermontov's creations existed in the era of persecution. In addition, Mikhail Yurievich was alone in his life.
