Heroes of DC Comics: Poison Ivy

In the world of comics, there is a unique girl who is equally desirable and dangerous. The famous girlfriend Quinn, who appeared in one of the numbers of the company "Di Si Comics" in 1966, when two artists Keniger and Moldofu wanted to add a female character.

The beginning of history

She is charming, seductive and deadly. How many men folded their heads just for wanting to touch her lips! Was it worth it? It seems that they had no choice.

As you probably guessed, it will be about the heroine of the comic book - Pamela Aili, who became famous in the Batman universe under the name of Poison Ivy.

The company, while creating yet another villain, did not even suspect what popularity the Poison Ivy (DC Comics) would receive. Heroes, whose photos were at that time quite popular, made room, taking in their ranks a new villain.

The beginning of the history of a flower terrorist

Everything changed when the girl went to college. There she found her vocation - botany. Love for the plant world made her a diligent student. Favorite business distracted Aily from problems in the family. Subsequently, she became the object of an experiment conducted by a biology teacher. After choosing Pamela, the professor used her knowledge about plants.

The purpose of the experiments is to study the toxins introduced into the human body. As a result of the experiment, Pamela received immunity to various poisons, but her touch to living objects became deadly to them.

Due to toxins in the body, Pamela was able to produce pheromones that helped her to control most men, affecting their minds. She could have made a police savage or turned a defender of the world into her toy - that's how Poison Ivy was entertained. DC Comics is the company that published this story on the pages of the comics about Batman (number 166).

History continues after teacher Woodrow disappeared. Ivy throughout the whole life experienced a mother's love for plants, because as a result of the experiments carried out over her, she became barren.

True, there is another version of the story with Dr. Woodrow, also proposed by DC Comics. Poison Ivy in Alternative Number 252 kills the professor to conceal the crime - the theft of rare plants from the laboratory.

After that, she returns in the image of a heroine, known as Poison Ivy. DC Comics publishes such a comic after the release of several numbers about the defender of Gotham.

Pamela's personal life has changed. Thanks to her abilities, she perfectly controlled and subordinated men, while choosing objects for amorous pleasures, she chose fair sex, becoming a lesbian. It is important to note that in the eighties same-sex ties were officially singled out by scientists as a fact of psychological deviation. This was reflected in the perception of the new issue of Ivy. Approximately in the same edition of Pamela falls into a psychiatric clinic Arkham.

Appearance in Gotham City

After leaving the hospital, Poison Ivy goes to Gotham City.

The first thing Isley is the terror of the city - she threatens to spray deadly disputes, if the authorities do not make the city cleaner. It was a mistake to resort to an ultimatum. Her insidious plans are crumbling because of a man in a bat suit who defeats the ecoterrorist and sends him to the Arkham clinic.

So in one of the DC Comics universes, Poison Ivy becomes a new super-villain.

Pamela's cellmate becomes the underworld boss nicknamed Soroka, who is known for her relationships with both men and women. Bird's name was given to her as a lover of brilliant trinkets.

Meanwhile, Aili escapes from the clinic and finds himself a secluded island in the Caribbean, where he turns a lifeless desert into a planted paradise. Here, for the first time, she feels truly happy.

Happiness is short-lived. The American company decides to test new weapons in the paradise of Aili.

False death of Ivy

The next issue continues the story of the villain from DC Comics. Poison Ivy returns to the city, where she is going to take revenge on the guilty of destroying the island. The batman decides to help her.

After the company's employees were seized, Aili has an impossible mission to ennoble the city. At least she decides to remain until the plants are no longer threatened by any danger.

An interesting fact is that Aylie's green skin tone appears after a meeting and a battle with a woman in a cat costume. At the same time, she finds a new mistress in the face of Quinn.

In the comic "No Man's Land" from the company DC Comics Poison Ivy continues to build his planted paradise and protect it from the aggressors. Not forgetting about enmity, a man with bat wings helps in such a noble impulse.

Aili with the help of his abilities sets Man out of steel against Batman. By the way, she wanted to make a similar trick with cousin Superman, but the charms did not work.

When the influence on the superman was asleep, the hour of reckoning came and Aili again goes to the Arkham clinic.

Another escape from Soroka was complicated by falling into a trap, after which Aili becomes obsessed with demons. Helped her by another hero, known as Intrigue.

For a while, Aili was considered dead. She returns with more power, as soon as she learns of the death of one of her friends.

The further fate of the character

Aili has to fight with the Harvest - a monster, which she herself created from the plant, feeding him mistresses and disagreeable men.

In the city of Aili, he succeeded in creating a duet with Quinn against a woman in a cat costume. After a fatal meeting with Wayne Pamela was seen only in the general "crowd" of supervillains.

To date, much has changed in the history of the heroine of the Poison Ivy (DC Comics). The characters got their own adaptations.

Films about the Poison Ivy came out four, in which such actresses as Barrymore Drew, Milano Alyssa and Edwards Megan were filmed.
