Enamel tooth - thin, but reliable protection!

The tooth enamel is a very thin, but the hardest and most durable tooth tissue, often called a mineral cap, since it is 97% composed of minerals. The ratio of mineral substances in the enamel of the tooth depends on the external conditions and the age of the person. In case the enamel of the tooth is damaged, caries starts, which leads to the destruction of the tooth.

However, unlike many tissues in the human body, enamel does not have the ability to self-repair. Therefore, restoration of tooth enamel is possible only by artificial means. The restoration of enamel is carried out in dental clinics and consists in the fact that the damaged tooth is covered with artificial materials that replace the enamel.

Unfortunately, the rhythm of a person's life in our time is such that the teeth are constantly exposed to the negative influence of the environment, which leads to the loss of enamel by minerals. Factors that contribute to the destruction of tooth enamel is the consumption of sweet and sour food and problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Cracks on the tooth enamel can cause and various drinks - energy and carbonated. The fact that the tooth enamel is in danger will give the signal a pain. If you feel at least an easy pain symptom or hypersensitivity, you should contact your dentist.

Enamel tooth: ways to restore.

Currently, there are many ways to restore tooth enamel.

Fluoridation of teeth involves coating teeth with solutions and varnishes containing fluoride. Fluoride not only strengthens tooth enamel, but also increases its resistance to negative effects of the environment, reduces the effect of bacteria.

Methods of fluorination:

- manufacturing of individual casts of teeth from wax, which are filled with a special fluorine-containing composition.

- covering the teeth with fluorine-based lacquer using a brush.

Another type of restoration of tooth enamel is implantation of enamel. This method is considered the most modern and allows not only to restore the enamel, but also to correct the bite, change the color and shape of the teeth, and protect sensitive teeth. For the implantation, modern materials are used, which are very similar in composition to enamel. Implantation of enamel gives an effect that lasts a very long time - throughout life.

As already mentioned, it is impossible to restore the tooth enamel independently without the help of doctors. However, there is such a method of strengthening as enamel coating of teeth. Some mistakenly believe that covering the teeth with enamel is the same as coating with fluorine lacquer, however, in fact, this is not quite so. Enamel coating is often used to saturate the teeth with necessary minerals before the enamel collapses. This procedure is shown to children with baby teeth, and adults. Enamel coating is a fairly simple procedure. First, the patient is cleaned with cotton wool, and then covered with a transparent film that will protect the enamel from the negative effects of the environment. This film is invisible to others, but if it falls on the mucous membrane during application, unpleasant sensations may occur. Typically, this procedure is sufficient for several months.

In addition, there are preventive measures that will help protect the tooth enamel from negative effects. First of all, you need to use for tooth cleaning special toothpastes with the content of calcium and fluoride, which will nourish the enamel of the teeth. In order to better assimilate, you do not just need to brush your teeth, but leave toothpaste in your mouth for a while.

To improve blood circulation and nutrition of tissues around the teeth, you need to regularly massage the gums. To enrich enamel with mineral substances passed naturally, you need to eat foods that contain calcium - eggs, dairy products, fish, etc., as well as foods containing vitamin D.
