Conquering the universe: a flight to the moon

The universe has long been interested in humanity. And, naturally, that the most cherished goal of people was the moon, which is visible to every inhabitant of the Earth.

It is known to all that the flight to the moon was made for the first time in history by the Americans. Having overtaken the USSR, the ship "Apollon 11" landed on the celestial body, called the Moon. The first person whose foot entered the surface of the star was Neil Armstrong, followed by another American astronaut, the pilot of the spacecraft , Edwin Aldrin. The captain of the ship and his pilot stayed on the lunar surface for about two and a half hours, examined it, collected about 23 kg of lunar stones and returned to the ship. Naturally, the flag that the American crew set on the Moon not only stirred the hearts of millions of Americans, but also enraged all Soviet scientists who worked to make the first flight to the moon carried out by them, because the so-called "lunar race" Between the US and the USSR lasted many years. More about it, we'll talk a little later.

Why did you stop flying to the moon? A question that worries millions of people on the planet. Versions and thoughts on this subject there are thousands. The most incredible of them is that the last time people made a flight to the moon, they were approached by flying saucers, which opened a warning fire, which meant "no more kick!". This fact is also allegedly confirmed by the fact that in 2002 a British hacker Harry Mackinon cracked the bases of the Pentagon and NASA, finding there many reports about why they stopped flights to the moon. According to some sources, these reports were made secretly in the US Congress and are not listed in the official texts. This version is similar to the scenario of the Hollywood film about the aliens. However, in fact, all this is a fiction of human imagination, and the reason is completely different.

What is this secret, because of which the flights suddenly stopped? Has humanity discovered almost everything about the Moon, and now it has become an uninteresting object of study for science? Not at all.

The cosmos is not just an unknown distance, but also a territory that forced two powerful terrestrial powers to fight among themselves. This territory of political wrangling and battles between the US and the USSR has always attracted attention, and the aforementioned countries did not spare money or energy to outrun each other.

Usually, the USSR remained the leader in space technology, but the first flight to the moon, made by Apollo 11, was a real blow to the Union. Of course, the Soviet Republic knew that not only did it claim the first landing on the moon - both Soviet and American missiles tried to fly to the moon and take pictures. And the ship "Zond" belonging to the SS was the first to successfully complete this mission. And America, in turn, spent millions of dollars to make a flight. The first tests of Appolon even cost the life of the crew, killing three astronauts. After the victory over the USSR, the United States almost lost interest in studying the lunar surface.

"Moon race" ended in victory for the Americans. Of course, a year later, Soviet scientists sent to the moon their famous moonwalker, who brought to the earth much more useful information than the expedition of American astronauts. However, after that, the Americans decided not to take any more risks, because the money spent would not pay off. The collapse of the Soviet Union became a logical point in the lunar race, because the competition lost its meaning.

Is the flight to the moon will never be carried out again? Not at all, in the research plans of some countries there are still projects of flying to the light, so it is impossible to say with accuracy that a fat point has been set in this matter.
