The famous Soviet director Sergei Bondarchuk had four children from three marriages - Alexei's eldest son Evgenia Belousova, daughter Natalya from the second wife Inna Makarova, son Fedor and daughter Elena Bondarchuk from the third wife Irina Skobtseva.

Younger daughter of the director

Elena Bondarchuk was born on July 31, 1962 in Moscow and grew up with her brother under the supervision of Yulia Nikolaevna Skobtseva's grandmother. The girl was called Elena at the insistence of her mother, rejecting her father's offer to give her the name Olesya. Growing up, Elena said that her name does not suit her in any way, and she independently changed it to Alena. Actress Elena Bondarchuk was born to follow in the footsteps of her parents.
