Electrophoresis with "Karipazim": reviews, methods and contraindications

The electrophoresis procedure makes it possible to enhance the therapeutic effect of certain drugs by introducing the components through the skin. The method is used in neurology, traumatology and surgery. To treat pathological conditions of the spine, electrophoresis with "Karipazim" is often prescribed. The therapeutic effect is provided by the components of the drug.

Description of the tool

"Karipazim" - a drug for external use of plant origin. Proteolytic medicine is obtained from the juice of fruits of melon tree - papaya. The active substance has anti-inflammatory and regenerating properties, which allows it to be used in pharmaceuticals. Also in the composition there are other enzymes: lysozyme papaya, peptidase A and B, chymopapain A and B. The drug is enriched with essential amino acids and carbohydrates.

The components in the preparation are important for normal metabolism. "Karipazim" is made in the form of a powder-lyophilizate, intended for the preparation of a solution. One bottle contains 100 mg of white powder (350 PE - unit of activity according to the international classification).

How does it work?

Enzyme herbal preparation has a selective proteolytic action, which consists in the possibility of splitting the protein, contributes to the dilution of the viscous secretion in necrotic tissues. Electrophoresis with "Karipazim" is often prescribed with protrusions and intervertebral hernias. In this case, the drug contributes to the restoration of the damaged fibrous ring, has a therapeutic effect on the damaged tissue, increasing the elasticity of the disc.

Regeneration of the damaged area occurs due to increased blood circulation, removal of inflammation and swelling. The drug has a cumulative therapeutic effect.

When do they designate "Karipazim"?

The solution, according to the official instructions, is used to treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Recently, the medicine is used in physiotherapy, aimed at eliminating the symptoms of the intervertebral hernia. The effectiveness of the plant enzyme agent has been clinically proven when protrusion therapy is needed (80% of positive results). Gradual regeneration of damaged areas allows to restore normal mobility of joints.

Experts recommend that many patients with degenerative-dystrophic pathologies use electrophoresis with "Karipazim". The testimonies indicate that after several procedures the joints and spine are improving, the pain syndrome, caused by the jamming of the nerve roots, disappears. Also "Karipazim" is shown with the following ailments:

  • Radiculitis.
  • Arthritis and arthrosis.
  • Neuritis of the facial nerve.
  • Osteocondritis of the spine.
  • Cerebral arachnoiditis.
  • Herniated Schmorl.
  • Keloid scars of various etiologies.
  • Burn injury to the skin (3rd degree).

Electrophoresis with "Karipazim": methods of conducting

The procedure of electrophoresis is appointed in those cases when it is necessary to deliver the active components of the medicine directly to the site of the lesion and to avoid a negative effect on other systems and organs. Before the drug enters the body, it will split into ions and dissolve in water.

Density and dosage of electric current is selected by the doctor based on the diagnosis and age of the patient. Before the procedure, it is necessary to prepare a solution from powder-lyophilizate, stir it in physiological solution. To do this, 1 bottle of the drug is combined with 10 ml of isotonic fluid. Strengthen the therapeutic effect of a solution of "Dimexide" (not more than 3 drops). The positive electrode is treated with a mixture of "Dimexide" and "Karipazima", and on the other is applied "Eufillin".

The medicine is injected from the positive pole. Special gauze pads are located in the area of the cervical spine and at the waist. The current must increase gradually: starting from 10 mA and reaching values of 15 mA. The duration of the procedure is 10-30 minutes and depends on the severity of the patient's condition.

Duration of treatment

Electrophoresis with "Karipazim" should be performed only in the appropriate physiotherapy rooms. The specialist will observe the procedure, adjust the current. The course of treatment depends on the diagnosis of the patient and can be from 10 to 30 sessions. To fix the positive result, doctors recommend to undergo a second course of treatment in a month.

Electrophoresis with "Karipazim": contraindications

The solution is not allowed for intravenous and intramuscular injections. Also, the procedure should be avoided if the intervertebral hernia led to an exacerbation of the inflammatory process.

The manufacturer does not recommend the use of a plant enzyme preparation in the following cases:

  • Suspicion or presence of malignant neoplasms in the body.
  • Pathology of the cardiovascular system and kidneys.
  • Inflammatory processes on the skin.
  • Damage to the dermis in the area of electrodes.
  • Elevated body temperature.
  • Sequenced vertebral hernia.

Side effects of the method

The solution of "Karipazim" for electrophoresis is transferred to a greater degree well. Only in rare cases, an allergic reaction to the components of the drug was observed. With increased sensitivity of the body to the components of the solution, there is an increase in body temperature, itching, redness of the skin. With mild allergic reaction, therapy should not be discontinued. Antihistamines will help relieve symptoms.

Reviews

The preparation "Karipazim" is used in various fields of medicine and has proved itself from the positive side. Patients observe the therapeutic effect of the medication already on the 2-3rd session. Relief with a symptom of the intervertebral hernia testifies to the relief of pain syndrome, the removal of inflammation and swelling.

In most cases, the drug helped to avoid surgery and restore the functionality of the spine and joints. At the same time, experts recommend not using electrophoresis with "Karipazim" at home, so as not to worsen the patient's condition.
