Elafonisi (Crete) - one of the best beaches in Greece

How to get to this wonderful place? This is of interest to many travelers. There are only two ways: through mountain villages or along the west coast. It is difficult to choose the best road, but if you do not really want to go along the serpentine, you should choose the first option. Passing through the villages, you can stay in taverns to refresh yourself, taste real national dishes, see how ordinary Greeks live, and admire the surrounding landscapes. This trip will allow you to better know Crete.

Elafonisi beach has one of the best on the entire Mediterranean. There are shower cabins, toilets, parking, small snack bars, but there are no restaurants or cafes. Since the islet is far from the main resorts of Crete, the trip needs to be properly planned in order to have time to take a place in the parking lot, enjoy the rest and get back to the hotel in time.
