Educational System Today Or How the Sun Hid Behind the Clouds

From time immemorial, Russian education has been distinguished by its depth and uniqueness. Only in our country the training process was approached with special thoroughness and seriousness. Among the important subjects were not only the exact sciences, but also humanitarian, spiritual, moral. Such an education could be proud of. Such an education gave pupils and students not that the basis, it gave them a treasure trove, which is called knowledge.

Proudly sounds ... And what to say? Everyone was proud of this way of teaching, everyone considered it a reference. What has changed in the minds of people, that the whole educational system is flying downhill? How was it possible to admit that modern youth is characterized by illiteracy, immorality and narrowness of thinking? There are hundreds of questions, but I can not find answers.

Traditional school education was distinguished by the fact that the students studied various disciplines in the direction, learning the basics of the universe, instilling logical thinking and training the skills of literate presentation of information. Teachers gave multifaceted knowledge, transferring to students all that they themselves know.

Today the situation has changed radically. If previously it was proud to work as a teacher, today few people are ready to agree to a tiny salary. The teacher's work has ceased to be valued, no one wants to receive a profession for a teacher, and, consequently, to give knowledge to children. Well, quite a sensible decision. Until the teachers begin to be treated with due seriousness, the educational system will all wither and wither away. But our future depends entirely on the younger generation.

However, in such conditions it is impossible to blame teachers. The educational system underwent serious reform, which translated traditional education into modern, western-oriented testing. How can I borrow a bad example when everything was excellent in the country ?!

Americans, accustomed to testing, are an example of illiteracy. How can you ask about the capital of Europe or draw Ukraine up to the Ural Mountains, arguing that tests are the best way to test knowledge. Testing narrows the limits of enlightenment of students, forcing them to reflect within four variants of answers. The share of luck can not be turned into an excellent student, but we want to fight for such knowledge.

The unified state examination has been criticized more than once, but it has been no less extolled at the peak of perfection. Be that as it may, the desire for simplification will only lead to narrowness of thinking. And if this is an end in itself, then the idea is clear.

But not only in schools, the educational system touched on changes. In higher educational institutions no less loins are created. The transfer of the system of specialists to bachelor's and master's degrees is even more incomprehensible and inexplicable. Questions arise both from students and teachers, and from employers who do not know what kind of workers they will receive from the university.

Reducing the time of training will only lead to the acquisition of superficial knowledge. Maybe it's true that students spend too much time in universities, but reducing the number of years of instruction can severely damage the educational program, which will have a bad effect on the final result. Why then such changes, which are accompanied by huge paperwork and confusion in society.

The educational system has changed too much in recent years, but what such events will lead to is very difficult to predict. Will the growing generation lose its craving for knowledge, will not the layer of the intelligent population disappear, will we turn back on the path of evolutionary development? Reforms are good when a positive outcome is known.
