Edward Khrutsky. Biography

The future writer was born on May 15, 1933 in the Russian city of Moscow. About the family of Edward is known quite a bit. For sure, we can only say that Edward Khrutsky's father was a hardy military intelligence officer. When the Great Patriotic War began, Eduard was only eight years old. The terrible events of that time influenced the formation of the future writer and left a huge mark in his soul. When the German troops began to actively advance on Soviet territory, Edward and his mother went into evacuation. At the end of the war, the Khrutsky family again returned to Moscow.

Childhood

The boy from the earliest years gave great hopes. Edward was very curious, it was for this reason that he tried to find answers to all his questions on his own. Thanks to such an incredible thirst for knowledge, the boy quickly became one of the best pupils in the school. Khrutsky took great pleasure in studying literature. As a child, Eduard spent hundreds of hours in the library, where he read the works of Russian classics.

Army

Edward Khrutsky (photo can be found above) decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and make a military career. It is for this reason that after finishing school the young man entered the Leningrad Military Engineering School named after Andrei Aleksandrovich Zhdanov. Later, Eduard joined the ranks of the Soviet Army. Edward even participated in the fighting. For example, the writer suppressed the so-called Hungarian Uprising of 1956. During the service Edward tried himself in literature and wrote short stories. Khrutsky fell in love with such activities, it is for this reason that it was decided to leave the army to do what they liked.

Literary Activity

Soon Khrutsky was demobilized. To gain experience, Edward works in various Moscow periodicals. For example, Khrutsky wrote for the notorious newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets. Nevertheless, the first serious literary robot Edward received only in the 1960s. He was one of the authors of the compilation of the annual collection called "Duel." In addition, Khrutsky received the post of editor-in-chief of the military-adventure almanac "Feat".

Nevertheless, Eduard had little editorial activity. It is for this reason that he begins to write his first novel. Thus, soon a book appears under the title "The Fourth Echelon", which consists of seven stories. The author tells about a special department to combat banditry, which functioned during the Great Patriotic War. It is also worth noting that the events of the book go far beyond the scope of the Great Patriotic War. Thus, the first story titled "The IBSC informs ..." tells of a young man, Ivan Danilov, who in 1918 had just joined the ranks of the OBB. In turn, the actions of the last story "One hundred and first kilometer" unfold in the early 50-ies of the twentieth century.

Due to the fact that Edward had some connections and reputation in literary circles, the publication of the book was not a big problem. When the "Fourth Echelon" appeared on the shelves of bookstores, limited edition scattered almost instantly. The main reason for the popularity of this work is the thematic direction. The theme of the war was quite popular in those days.

With the help of his novel, Edward began to actively move up the career ladder. He began writing scripts for various artistic and television films. Thus, Eduard can be safely considered the father of such cult film productions as "At the corner, the Patriarchs," "According to the Criminal Investigation," "Last Autumn" and "Proceed to Elimination."

In 2009, the publishing house "Terra" was released a collection of works of Khrutsky, which consisted of ten volumes. And in 2012, the studio "Santa Claus" shot a new twenty-part film called "MUR". The film was based on the novel Khrutsky and narrated about the adventures of the chief of the OBB Danilov.
