In the cold season we are already habitually preparing for an epidemic of acute respiratory infections. Garlic, honey, cranberries and even black radish with lemon - all this set necessarily appears in the house with the onset of November. However, preventive drugs can be less bulky and perishable. One of the effective medicines for carrying out preventive measures, as well as treatment of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, is Kagocel.

It is prescribed not only for adults but also for babies. The drug is universal, it has a powerful strengthening effect. So can the drug do harm? What for to observe instructions, after all in structure of a medicine enter only stimulators of development of human protective agents? However, remember that none, even the most effective, the drug can not be used uncontrolled, and, therefore, any medicine should be accompanied by an instruction.

Kagocel - what is it?

The preparation is produced in the form of tablets of cream color in ten pieces in a carton. Among the prophylactic agents, "Kagocel" was attributed more likely by the doctors and patients than by the instruction. "Kagocel" is an antiviral agent and can be successfully used in the treatment of various types of ARVI. The properties of the drug are based on the ability of the active substance to stimulate the production of the protective protein by the body - interferon. The concentration of interferon in the blood reaches the limit values after 48 hours from the moment of reception of "Kagocel". The main purpose of interferon is precisely in the fight against viruses. The development of it does not stop even after the complete removal of Kagocel from human blood. Drug is withdrawn through the intestine along with feces. The complete elimination period is seven days. With urine, only ten percent of the active substance is removed from the body.
