Getting Started in Journalism

While still a student, Dmitry wrote many articles that are now used in academic publications.

Dmitry Skvortsov made really important steps in his career when he got a job at the publishing house of the well-known Ukrainian newspaper "Segodnya". Having received the opportunity to lead a political column in the newspaper, Dmitry wrote about everything that happened in the world of politics. Skvortsov fell in love with the readers of the newspaper "Today" with his articles, which began to be published since 2006.

After working in the newspaper, Dmitry decided to move on. Already an experienced journalist was taken to the publishing house of the news weekly "2000". Having started work in this publishing house in 2006, Dmitry remains today the main columnist in it. For personal growth, the weekly "2000" played an important role, after all, when the publishing house began to work with Dmitry, it became widely known.

Another direction in journalism

Despite the fact that Dmitry Skvortsov closely linked his journalistic career with politics, he wrote articles on religious topics. In 2010, he was even recognized as the best secularist journalist by the Union of Orthodox Laymen and the Union of Journalists of Ukraine, who writes about the meaning of religion and the like.

About Dmitri's publications

In his articles Dmitry Skvortsov writes about things and events that really bother him. Since in Ukraine today there are many events, for Dmitri now it is the time when he can not only express his opinion on this or that account, but also try to reach people who daily participate in the unfair struggle between the common people and the Ukrainian Government.

Writing Activities

Dmitriy is the author of not only articles, but also a biographical book that the readers and their content liked, and the style of writing that contains a simple and easy syllable.

The book was written about the life of the composer Frank Zappa and was called "Loud Sap, or Volley from the Cellar." She revealed many interesting facts about the life of a famous musician.

Publications of Skvortsov

One of the latest publications was an article in which Dmitry Skvortsov writes that the Ukrainian authorities have introduced "censorship", justifying it by the fact that now there are active actions, and propaganda will be completely useless. Skvortsov to write such an article pushed the fact that the journalist was detained by law enforcement officers of Ukraine, finding from him a large number of Russian books that he was transporting from Moscow, buying them in a monastery, where he lived during the Christmas readings. Skvortsov himself is outraged because now it is impossible to have any literature with him, because it is completely unknown how the defenders of power can perceive the words from the title of the work and its preface. On this fact, even brought a case. On the appointed day, the court did not take place, but the Skvortsov case is still closed today - all books are thoroughly examined.

Article about the procession of the Cross

Another article that shocked the Internet was an article about the Crusade, which took place in the summer of 2016. People who walked with icons and advocated peace were accused of allegedly trying to kindle a huge conflict on the basis of religious views. The priests who walked behind those who advocated peaceful life were called the killers of the soldiers of Ukraine. All of what Skvortsov wrote about had a strong influence on the further events that took place in Ukraine.

Publication of journalists

In his article Dmitry Skvortsov raises the problem with which all Ukrainian journalists are tormented today. Publicists, whose articles do not particularly like the government, endure threats and beatings on the part of the authorities. Despite the fact that the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office constantly receives complaints and statements from Ukrainian journalists, only three beating cases have been examined, which is explained by the fact that journalists themselves regularly violate the law in their own words, badly speaking about the government of Ukraine. In fact, as Skvortsov writes, this is another myth, as there are only a few violations committed by journalists.

Article about the Orthodox Church

Another sensational publication Skvortsova was an article on the destruction of Orthodoxy in Ukraine. The author writes that the Orthodox Church keeps afloat exclusively thanks to Russia's support in this matter. Also Dmitry writes that the Russian capital could well become "the third Rome", if Ukraine had even supported it in this respect a little. But since the Ukrainian authorities have long ago taken up arms against the Russian Federation, this will not come true. Also Skvortsov writes that the main center of military operations for today has been chosen the territory of Lesser Rus - Kiev land, which became the mother of all the Slavic peoples, where their heart is - the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, which became the first Slavic Land of the Mother of God.

A few words about the journalist

Dmitry Skvortsov is a journalist who not only publishes his articles. This is a person who throughout his career has been closely associated with political unrest in Ukraine. However, he remained the person who understands how important for Ukraine is the peace with Russia, if only because they are united by a common history that began from the times of Kievan Rus. The journalist is not afraid to openly express his opinion, sometimes speaking too harshly about the Ukrainian government. Despite the fact that the journalist writes only the truth about what is happening at the moment on the territory of his homeland, the government of Ukraine has long disliked the activities that Skvortsov is conducting. How will the Ukrainian authorities continue to react to the statements of the journalist? It is not known.
