Diet for psoriasis

The stable state of the patient with psoriasis depends on the acid-base balance in the body, shifted toward alkaline reaction. To create an environment with a predominance of alkalis, it is necessary to remove most of the products that synthesize acid molecules from the diet. Maximize the menu with alkali sources. So the diet for psoriasis is made.

1. Reduce the acid content

Acid-forming products include those that contain a lot of protein. These are different kinds of meat, cottage cheese and cheeses, lentils, peas. Significantly increases the acid level with alcohol and coffee.

Diet in psoriasis limits another group of foods that increase the level of acidity in the body. Substances contained in them, react with alkalis, change their properties, destroy them. It is sugar itself, sweets with a high content, for example, sweets. The second place of "root-eaters" is baked from white flour, pasta, followed by animal fat and vegetable oils. If the above products, which promote the formation of an acidic environment, prevail in the diet, then psoriasis will worsen. The diet is aimed at choosing an approximate ratio of 1 to 4 towards alkaline products.

Acquired skills in compiling a diet, a painstaking study of possible combinations will soon make it easy to navigate in useful combinations of products and eliminate factors that violate the balance.

  • Do not eat together several sources of acid, for example, different starches. Starch and sweets. Meat with a fat side dish. Fat second course and sweet dessert.
  • You can not eat sugar and sweets at the same meal.
  • Never fry meat or fish. Fish, in fact, do not limit the amount. The choice of meat is justified by mutton, not more than 2 times a week.
  • Diet in psoriasis requires to abandon the usual vinegar. If desired, with your doctor you can choose vinegar, less destroying the body.
  • Exclude products containing preservatives, flavor enhancers, food colors and other chemical additives.
  • Carefully study the composition of medications used, regardless of the purpose of their appointment.

To increase the alkaline level of the medium, take the lemon juice that has just been squeezed and diluted in a glass of water. Favorable for the creation of alkaline environment affects pineapple, pear, apricot, mango, papaya, grapes, orange and grapefruit. The effect is enhanced by the juices from these fruits.
