Design and specifications of the Volkswagen Passat 6th generation

Already for almost 40 years the German car of class D Volkswagen Passat is confidently holding onto the world market and is not going to cease to exist. During this period, the company has successfully sold more than 15 million such copies. One of the best-selling was the Passat B6 model, the debut of which took place in 2005. It was produced for 5 years, and in 2010 it was replaced by the seventh generation of the Volkswagen Passat. However, the B6 still remains the best-selling car, but already in the secondary market. Just note that the German "Passat" in the 6th generation was produced in several variations of the body. In addition to the sedan, the station wagon model was developed. The top among the petrol units was the 3.2-liter engine, which produced up to 250 horsepower of maximum power. Yes, the specifications of the Volkswagen Passat were on top. Three years after the debut in the world market began to appear versions with a new 1.799-liter gasoline engine capacity of 160 horsepower.

There were three diesel installations, too. Among them were engines with a capacity of 105, 140 and 170 horsepower and a working volume of 1.9, 2.0 and 2.0 liters respectively. The transmission "Volkswagen Passat" was also available in different versions. These are six-speed "automatic" and "mechanics". Also, buyers were available 6- and 7-speed variator.
