Savva Smolin became the first settler in the Chelyabinsk fortress. He was allocated a plot of land here. Justified as it should. The brothers arrived. And already all three of them founded Smolino, a Cossack village near Gorky Lake. And over time this name passed to the pond. This name exists today.

But recently defenders appeared at the ancient lake. They are students of the Faculty of Ecology of Chelyabinsk State University.
