The genre of dark ambient is partly associated with some creations of Brian Eno. These works were created by the musician together with other authors. These include the composition An Index of Metals, which is included in the album Evening Star. This work was created together with Robert Fripp in 1975. It included a guitar feedback. Also remember the ambient songs on David Bowie's plates: Heroes and Low. An important forerunner of this genre is the double album of the band Tangerine Dream, which was named Zeit and was released in 1972. In this work, there is a rejection of the melody and rhythm for creating a dark atmosphere.
The main varieties
Occultism, religiosity, ritualism and propaganda of one's own views through music were inherent in numerous musicians. For example, Lustmord became famous for his "conditionally satanic" ideas.
