Crochet for girls

The main advantage of the crocheting technique is the ability to change the direction in an arbitrary order. This greatly simplifies the manufacture of canvases with complex shapes or configuration. That's why many craftsmen, knitting toys and children's things, prefer to use patterns designed for crocheting.

The advantages of circular knitting

Many models of crocheted dresses and blouses include such a constructive element as a coquette. This is the name of the upper part of the product, which differs from the main cloth with a pattern or color.

Often, the coquette crocheted in a circle. This is convenient, since you can evenly distribute the colored threads (if they are provided by the model), and also avoid the need to sew together individual parts.

The coquette can be integral or detachable. The second option is used if they plan to knit a product with a fastener.

Crochet knitting

A round kind of coquette is the most famous and popular, it is a modified collar. The round coquette is crocheted according to the scheme, since it is necessary to follow the principles of expanding the web to obtain the correct shape.

In various sources it is fairly easy to find suitable patterns. In extreme cases, you can adapt the scheme of any circular napkin or a piece of tablecloth (skipping knitting the middle and choosing the first row at a distance of about 8-10 cm from the center).

Rectangle Coquette

Knitting a rectangular yoke is very different from making a round part. The beginning of knitting is also a chain of air loops, but the expansion principle is completely different. The addition of loops is not distributed over the entire length of the row, but is focused at four points. In each of them, two loops are added when tying the front row. Thus, every two rows the web increases by eight loops. This method is used to later extend the knitting of each face of the quadrilateral and obtain the details of the gear, backrest and sleeves.

A sample (crochet crochet knitting) can be seen in the photo below. It shows how to knit a solid yoke, but in the same way you can make this part by applying a pattern with cross strips.

The finished product with a rectangular coquette looks as if it is connected by the method of raglan. An important feature of this coquette is that it allows you to tie a sleeve that is at an angle of less than 90 degrees (about 60 degrees) to the transmission and back parts. The advantage of this arrangement is the presence of the right inclination of the arm of the knitted article, corresponding to the anatomical structure of the human body.

Square coquette crochet

It is convenient to knit a coquette of this form if it is decided to compose this detail from individual square fragments. Also, it looks good on sleeveless products (example in the photo, which is located below).

A square shape can be recommended for the manufacture of children's products. A crochet for a girl usually has a fairly simple cut and does not require the accuracy of calculations such as sweaters and dresses for adults. The only condition for a quality product is to comply with the basic dimensions and the combination of yarn and fabric.

Children's coquette crochet involves the use of a minimum amount of yarn and allows you to create an original dress even from a color scarf (the author of the product in the photo is exactly what it did).

A feature of the coquette shown is that its lower edges meet and do not stitch together. The patch is formed by a cloth of a coquette on top and a fabric of a scarf from below. To the fabric does not crumble under the hands of the baby, to her from the back of the elastic elastic sewn on.

The coquette bounded from below

Crochet crochet knitting from below is not very popular, but a noteworthy method. It is resorted to if the specificity of the model does not allow performing the coquette by other methods described.

For the manufacture of such a coquette, it is necessary to prepare the details of the gear, backrest and sleeves tied to the armhole line. After they are sewn, they are connected by one circular row of columns without a crochet and begin to knit a coquette with the chosen pattern.

The requirements for changing the size of the canvas with this knitting are the same as in the paragraph on rectangular coquette, only here it is necessary to shorten the loops successively.

The crocheted bottom of the coquette can also be of circular shape, but in order to properly design it, you will need some experience and fantasy knitter.

Important aspects

To decorate the product with a coquette was effective and did not become a headache, one should be aware of certain features of the process:

  • Knitting in a circle leads to a gradual shift of vertical rows, this must be taken into account.
  • It is worth paying special attention to the accuracy of the comparison of the beginning and the end of the color series. With circular knitting it can be problematic to reduce them in one line.
  • A coquette for a crocheted dress, the model of which provides for the presence of a fastener, must take into account the width of the bar. This means that the two parts of the part on which the clasp will be placed (for example, the backrest) must be narrower than the part to be transferred. When the bar is sewn to them, their width will be equal.
  • For women of pleasant fullness, the models of summer dresses, with an open-work yoke, covering the shoulders and part of the hands, are good.
  • The disadvantage of calculating the loops and the size of the coquette is often the formation of too short armholes. It is necessary to carefully study this stage of manufacturing knitted products. If the coquette knitting is already finished, but its width is not enough to get full armholes, you should continue knitting only the details of the gear and the back.

Yarn Properties

A crochet crochet is often made with the use of lace patterns. The openwork fabric looks good if the chosen thread is rather thin and tightly twisted (cotton, linen, wool, polyamide). An exception can be different types of mohair, angora and cashmere. These types of yarn are very thin, but have a slight torsion. The use of thick yarn automatically involves the use of either completely continuous patterns, or the simplest ornaments with a small amount of azhur.

The recommendations outlined in this article will not replace personal experience, but will help to avoid the most common mistakes when crocheting crochets.
