Among them, the area of the soil that needs to be compacted, the number of machines necessary to carry out this work, the difference in the heights of the ground, which should be leveled. For example, it is more difficult to directly compact the soil of the embankment with a roller than to level it with bulldozers, and only then to compact it. There are several types of apparatus, but the principle of action is the same for all. By the way, you can rent them at a price of 1,300 rubles per hour.

Device

The main operating part of any roller is the roll. This is a heavy cylinder that performs the function of the sealing shaft and the front wheels of the machine at the same time. The most commonly used modes are of two types: amplitude from 0.6 mm to 1 mm and amplitude from 1.35 mm to 2.2 mm.

Control systems of modern vibrating rollers allow you to adjust both parameters: the amplitude and frequency of the roll oscillation. This feature allows you to adapt the machine to work with a certain soil, adjust it to the characteristics of its density, viscosity, flowability, and so on.

Soil compacting by vibrating rollers can be carried out using different tactics. An effective strategy is to compact the soil in several passes. First with the maximum amplitude and the lowest frequency of the roll oscillation, and then with a gradual increase in the vibration frequency. Thus, first deep layers of soil are compacted, and then the upper layers are compacted.

The corrugated surface of the roller crushes large blocks of soil, and the shaft compacts them with its weight. This can be useful if the soil is a pile of frozen ground or clay with sandstone impurities. In other respects the design of the screen rollers does not differ from the others.

Pneumowires

They differ from others in that they do not have rollers. Instead, the front and rear of the cars are equipped with rows of wheels with pneumatic tires. How to make a manual compactor for soil compacting with your own hands

In the construction shops you can buy ready-made models, but you can easily make a compactor for compacting the soil with your own hands. The main part of such a tool is a heavy shaft. The main thing is to think out what to make this part of the design, and the handle can be built from any pipe, bending it at the right angle and attaching comfortable handles to it, for example, removed from the bicycle handlebars. The easiest way to make a heavy shaft is to use a large metal container filled with sand or other heavy material. To work with a hand roller is not turned into torture, its weight should not exceed 120 kg. The optimum width is 1 meter.
