Crafts from matches with their own hands. How to make crafts from matches for children

Do you know that any person always has a shock and a genuine surprise? These are crafts made from matches. With your hands without glue or with the help of it you can build houses, palaces, churches, animals, transport, create paintings and even dishes. This activity helps develop dexterity of hands and rally adults and children. Therefore, consider several master classes of simple and complex works.

The main features of working with matches

  • Buy all the material. In this work it is better to take more matches, the less, as the work is laborious and requires constant attention. For example, for a small church, you need about eight thousand matches.
  • Crafts can be glued, so these works can be mastered by children.
  • From matches you can make masterpieces without glue. In this case, you need diagrams and step-by-step lessons for beginning masters.
  • Works can be flat, three-dimensional and three-dimensional.
  • For crafts matches you can take whole, cut off the sulfur heads, break the rods.
  • In work usual, multi-colored and mantel matches are used.

Despite their simplicity, from matches it is possible to create rather complex projects, which are analogues of these objects. Some works require drawings, accuracy and sleight of hand. With children it is better to start with flat objects, then go to voluminous products. If you want to go directly to three-dimensional artwork, then practice on the houses, the technique of creating which is the basis of other works.

Simple crafts from matches

With their own hands, six-year-olds can create flat pictures. Their essence consists in drawing plots, and then gluing elements from matches. It can be a fence, a wattle fence, a house and even an animal image. In this case, matches only decorate the existing plot.

A more complex picture is voluminous work. To do this, a pattern template is drawn on the landscape sheet or Whatman. Choose monochrome or monochrome schemes. Such patterns can be borrowed in embroidery with a cross or beads.

Next, use tweezers to glue the matches in an upright position. Due to the sulfur heads painted in the desired color, an original pattern is created. Matches paint in advance with acrylic paint, and then insert them into the foam to completely dry.

As an option, you can lay out a solid picture of painted matches on a rubber base. Just pierce the hole with an awl and insert the matches so that only the heads can be seen. On the reverse side, each row is cut by wire cutters. Next, the following pattern is laid out.

Arrangement of matches: house

Building the foundation of the house is the basis of most masterpieces: castles, churches, tanks, mills, paintings. Therefore, we consider this process in more detail.

  • Spread two matches in parallel.
  • Over them perpendicularly put eight matches.
  • Next is laid out a perpendicular row of eight matches.
  • Then build the walls of the house with a height of 7 rows. The heads of matches constantly go in a circle.
  • The upper row is stacked completely with eight matches, only the sulfur heads look in the opposite direction in comparison with the first row.
  • Over the previous row in a perpendicular direction, put six matches.
  • They put on a coin and tightly pressed.
  • Now you need to cover the coin on all sides with matches in each vertical row.

  • Squeeze the walls and gently take out the coin.
  • Turn the house over, then the bottom becomes the base for the roof.
  • Put another horizontal row.
  • At the corners insert the missing matches and put them out a little.
  • The roof is laid perpendicular to the first layer, alternating matches with sulfur heads in opposite directions.
  • It remains to insert four matches for the pipe into the roof and a couple more into the wall for the window.

Mill of matches with glue

Make crafts from matches with glue, which are available to older kids. Draw a simple mill of four trapezoidal walls, with a triangular roof and a wheel of four "petals". Given the size of the matches, cut out the templates from the paper.

Now follow the pattern of measuring the length of matches and glue them together. Sulfur heads before work clean. To match the matches firmly, from the wrong side, attach additional beams, which are arranged pendicularly to the match pattern.

First, make a trapezoidal base. Then from the matches lay a triangle and fill it with matches. Make a wheel of four petals with a square core. For one such part you need to take three long matches and two short ones, creating an elongated trapezoid.

Having glued to the bottom two opposite triangles, one of which with a wheel, attach a match between them. It becomes a crossbar for skates. Now glue the rectangular stingrays and attach them to the mill.

Wheels from matches

These crafts from matches for children will cause a lot of excitement and surprise: without glue make real wheels! For workpieces of 15 vertices with one supporting match we prepare a working tool. On a sheet of thick cardboard, draw a circle with a diameter of 8.4 cm, divide it into 15 sectors. Each of them has a peak with an angle of 24 degrees.

With the help of a nail or an awl, make holes in each sector and insert matches into them, with which the wheel will be "built up". All the matches are laid out in a circle, where the sulfur heads are located one after another. In order to understand the location of the interlacing, we designate the first support matches as A, B, C, D, E, F.

  • The ends of the first match lie beyond the circle A and C, and its middle is in the circle and touches the point B.
  • The second match is overlapped over the first one so that the ends are beyond the points B and D, and the middle of it is in contact with C.
  • The third match goes over the second match from point C, bypasses D and goes behind F.

That is, you match the circumference of the circle with a zig-zag path. Place the last one under the first one.

Features of construction of rows near the wheel

We continue to make crafts from matches. The wheel construction is described above. We lay out each series in this way. Only at the end of each of them, the last three matches (the first, the penultimate and the last) must be pushed down, since the part is held by friction.

  • First match up.
  • The penultimate one is placed under the edge of the first.
  • Next, the last match is inserted and inserted.

All the details need to be pressed down in each circle to create a density between the matches. Lay out five circles, where at the end the last three elements are fixed in the same way. Now the support can be pulled out according to the following scheme (mentally number the reference points):

  • Pull out the 13th match.
  • Now carefully remove the 5th, which will be on the opposite side.
  • Next comes the 6th match.
  • Then remove the 9th detail.
  • Go to the 1st match, which will be in the perpendicular direction.
  • And pull out the last 2-nd.

Now you can carefully take the wheel in your hands and do not be afraid of destroying the crafts of matches. For children in this analogy, you can make a tank with such wheels or a cart.

Pictures from matches

Strangely enough, but landscapes, photos can not only be embroidered, but also designed from matches. The bottom line is that the base is built from cubes, and then matches are stuck with sulfur heads up, which create a certain pattern. Do not only monochrome subjects, but also colorful pictures. Only for the last purpose of the match head is to be painted in the right palette.

So, how to make these crafts from matches? The instruction is as follows:

  • Create cubes, as for a house, only without a roof. You only have the silver heads from two adjacent sides, the other two sides should be without sulfur. You need to make cubes as much as you need for a picture. For example, you need five squares in length and 8 cubes in width, then do 35 hand-made articles.
  • Next, with the remaining matches, clean the sulfur. Based on the above example, you need 14 cubes without sulfur heads.

Connection of the base for the picture

Once you have all the details ready, you can build crafts from matches with your own hands. You begin to fasten the foundation along the rows. The edges consist of cubes with heads, and the middle - of pure squares.

  • In the first cube around the edges, insert the connecting 4 matches by the same analogy as you would make the roof for the house, but do not push them.
  • Take the second cube and attach it to the connecting matches.
  • Gently squeeze these two cubes.
  • Places of connection fill with matches.
  • Also you arrive with the next cube.

First, join all the rows. Proceeding from the above example, you need to make 5 rows of 8 cubes. We connect as follows:

  • In the first row, from the side of each cube insert 4 connecting matches (in a row of 32 matches).
  • Place the second row on the table with the side to which the other is to be attached.
  • The first row of matches down gently insert into the second.
  • Compress the ranks.
  • Place the connection points in the matches.

Matching matches can fly out, but they can then be inserted. As soon as the whole base is ready, take the diagram and on it lay out the drawing for the same analogy as the usual mosaic.

An excellent souvenir and a gift are crafts made from matches. You can build whole temples, fortresses, palaces, paintings with your own hands. And that they served decades, just cover them with wood varnish. If you are just starting to create "match" masterpieces, then master the technique of building a house, since many items are based on it.
