Cottage cheese donuts - useful, delicate and delicious pastries

Donuts are classic American pastries. Recipes for dough preparation and filling can be completely different: with jam, chocolate, nuts, cream, raisins and other dried fruits. Which you choose - depends only on your tastes. Now I suggest you to prepare original, delicate, light curd donuts.


They are done quite simply and quickly, but they differ in unique taste and surprise all your loved ones. Cooking them can be deep-fried, and if you have a special silicone mold for donuts, then you can bake in the oven.

For preparation we need:

  • Half a kilo of curd of medium fat content;
  • Four eggs;
  • Half a cup of sugar;
  • About one large spoonful of sour cream;
  • Two or three teaspoons of soda without a slide;
  • vinegar;
  • A half-pack of baking powder (confectionery powder);
  • Two large spoons of vanilla sugar or essences;
  • Four medium glasses of flour.

Making Donuts

Eggs break into a deep bowl and with the help of a mixer or manually knocked into a thick foam, then add sugar, a spoonful of sour cream and vanilla or essence. Curd for the filling is thoroughly rubbed. Although you can take a ready-made mass with dried fruits, such baking will taste even more tender. Then add the baking powder and three teaspoons of soda vinegar.

Pre-beaten eggs with sugar are added to the cottage cheese. Flour sift and pour into our mixture. Then we knead a tender (without lumps) dough. Please note that it should not turn out to be liquid or thick. Flour is better to add gradually and look at the consistency, if necessary, then add more or less specified in the recipe, because the amount can depend on the variety. If you want to diversify the curd donuts and give them new flavors, then in the dough you can put a small amount of cocoa powder or melted chocolate. Then again mix thoroughly. Next, the test should be given a little time to infuse (about fifteen to twenty minutes). Curd donuts can be prepared in the standard form, like bagels, or balls. The first option is more convenient to form with a special kitchen accessory, and for the second - from the finished test, small, approximately the same size "balls" are made.

If you prefer to cook deep-fried, then heat the butter in a deep caveman. Do not put too many products into the deep fryer at one time, so that they do not stick together. When the oil warms up well, start fry donuts. Once they have reached a smooth golden color, they are pulled out with special tongs and spread on a paper towel to remove excess fat. If you do not like this kind of baking, then the curd donuts can be cooked in the oven. The dough is laid out in a special form and baked for about 15 to 20 minutes (until golden in color). Before serving "yummy" you need to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. It is better to serve tea or coffee with fruit jam. Bon Appetit!
