Connecting to the Internet Computer Through Cell Phone

Today, more and more people are getting high-speed Internet. The convenience of connecting the Internet to a stationary computer is undeniable - the ability to watch in unlimited quantities and quality video files, communicate with friends, find any desired information. However, local networks have a fashion to break, and a home computer may not be at hand. In this case, the connection to the Internet via a cell phone helps.

In order to be able to find materials on the Internet at exchange rates, dms features or any other subject via a mobile phone, you need to connect your PC and cellular phone in any affordable way - using a headset or Bluetooth adapter. To connect the phone correctly, you need to install the appropriate drivers on the computer.

Next, through the control panel, select "Phone and modem" (in the "Printers and other equipment" section) and specify the required settings - the city code, the country name and the initialization string. The latter depends on the used tariff plan and can be obtained from the mobile operator. The initialization string is set in the Properties / Additional communication parameters menu for the selected modem. It is from this parameter that the cost of traffic will depend, so it makes sense to carefully study the proposed tariffs.

Further connection is carried out in the same way as for the usual city Internet - a new network connection is created via the control panel with the choice of the installed telephone modem (details can be found in the help system). For this connection, you need to know the phone number of the connection, which is also recognized by the operator you are using. Usually such information can be found directly on the operator's website or by phone call.

In order not to confuse this connection with others, it is better to call it an understandable way, for example, mobile or something like that. After doing all the operations, you can see the new name mobile in network connections (Start / Connect).

After creating the connection, you need to check the protocol settings and the server type. You can do it using the "Network" tab (open the mobile connection and in the properties to find this tab). As a server, you need to select the PPP option: Windows 95/98 / NT4 / 2000, Internet, and for the TCP / IP protocol, on the Properties tab, set the automatic retrieval of TCP / IP and IP addresses.
