The origins of the European Tourist Insurance company originated from the idea of the Hungarian Max von Engel, which arose from one interesting incident that occurred to him in 1905. On one of the hot summer evenings, he, along with his son, waited 15 years for the departure of the train on the platform of Lucerne station. And the fire at the station is not the only trouble that can happen to travelers. It was this thought that visited Engel at that moment. He thought: "It would be nice that people have the opportunity to insure their luggage." These arguments Engel shared with his friend, the head of the Munich Reinsurance Society, Karl von Tim. The result of this was the opening on May 9, 1907 of the European Joint-Stock Insurance Company Baggage. More than a hundred years have passed since, however, the company "European Travel Insurance" continues to take care of travelers and considers this to be its priority.

Types of insurance offered by the UTS

The duration of the Business Trip program is one year. A tourist can travel an unlimited number of times, however, the period of one trip should not exceed 91 days.
