The American company Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT) is quite young, has been working since 1994. The main rate of the company's management made for the production of functional, high-quality and low-cost models. Currently, more than 300 different knife variants have been produced. Unique, stylish, very practical products quickly won the world market.

To produce the original Columbia blades (the knife of any model of the company is unique in its own way) it attracted such well-known manufacturers as Jerry McGinnis, Keith Carson, Alan Folst, Ken Onion. The famous Japanese master Koji Jara took part in design developments, although he does not like serial models, preferring to work with author's.

Currently, CRKT is run by Rod Brenner. The main production is concentrated in Taiwan and China. The head office is in the US, Oregon, where it was actually founded. To date, the Columbia USA knife is America's best-selling brand.
