Colorado cats ... No, not beetles, namely, beloved by many fluffy pets. Have you ever heard of such animals? In principle, this name is considered more popular, and experts attribute these mammals to a special subspecies of British cats.

Section 1. Colorado cats. Tabby Group In the world there is a huge number of these pets, and each of them is unique. But there are signs that they can be grouped together. Agree, any British cats (photo above), in principle, will not leave anyone indifferent, but those in the color of which there is a picture are unique, and they belong to the tabby or tabby group, as they are also called.

Initially, their fur is clearly visible spots or strips, which disappear as soon as the kids grow up. A real tabby will be obtained only if it allows "agouti".

On the chest, you can see at least three closed strips, the so-called "necklace", and on the legs and tail - rings. On the stomach, of course, the presence of two rows of double spots, and on the cheeks - curls. A clear, saturated pattern should contrast with the background color. Another condition - a deep stain, right up to the roots of the hair.

Basically, in all figure cats orange, copper or golden eye color. The exception is silver tabby having green eyes.

Strips running from the back of the neck to the shoulders form a butterfly pattern, along the back there are also parallel lines. Brown tabby is distinguished by the fact that the pattern on its wool has a black saturated color. And the chin and the area of the lips of the animal are painted copper brown. The nose is often brick red in color with a black edging.
