Nevertheless, in medicine, this condition is considered a functional disorder, since no other disorders, such as infection, trauma or inflammation, are detected during the examination of the body. The disease has a psychosomatic nature and is associated primarily with the malfunctioning of the nervous system.

Nevertheless, it is proved that spastic colitis of the intestine can be the result of genetic heredity. In fact, the disease can be accompanied by different symptoms. For example, some patients suffer from acute attacks of diarrhea, while others, on the contrary, have difficulty in emptying the intestine. There are also people who have diarrhea followed by constipation and vice versa.

Treatment of spastic colitis of the intestine

In fact, the only true method of treatment in this case simply does not exist. Certainly, drug therapy will help to alleviate the condition of the patient. Doctors prescribe laxatives with constipation. Spasmolytic and pain medications help to get rid of the corresponding symptoms. If the attack occurred against a background of nervous overexertion, patients take mild sedatives.

Unfortunately, all of the above methods can only relieve the discomfort for a while. There is no guarantee that in the future the attack will not happen again. That's why experts recommend avoiding stressful situations and, most importantly, carefully monitor food.

To this end, patients are asked to make so-called diary diets - this is the only way to determine which foods aggravate the attack, and which, on the contrary, help to avoid it.

For example, it is noted that eating fried foods, alcohol, products containing caffeine, as well as certain spices and spices, often affects the work of the intestines, leads to irritation and discomfort. But fresh fruits, vegetables and cereals, rich in fiber, on the contrary, normalize peristalsis and eliminate problems with constipation.

That is why it is so important to adhere to the principles of proper nutrition and to lead a healthy lifestyle, since these are the only effective precautions.
