The monetary system of the Republic of Belarus has recently suffered severe changes. The denomination has passed. Citizens of the Republic of Belarus for the first time took a new type of money.

New money

New money of Belarus was introduced into circulation: banknotes and coins. The size of the banknotes is 150X74 mm and does not differ from the old-style bills. Their semantic content, national patterns have not changed at all. Only the design is made in European style.

All banknotes were printed in 2009. This is evidenced by the signature of the head of the National Bank PP Prokopovich and the use of the old word "pjatsjesat" instead of the current "pjatsjasayut." All these errors will be corrected when manufacturing the subsequent batch of money.

From the statement of the head of the National Bank, it became known that Belarus does not plan the construction of its mint . This is due to the fact that its production is very expensive and unprofitable for such a small state.

The money signs had to be put into circulation earlier. But this did not happen because of inflation in the Republic of Belarus and the global economic crisis. Coins

In connection with the denomination, coins appeared in monetary circulation. This happened for the first time in the history of the Belarusian ruble. Previously, the Republic of Belarus was considered a state in which only commemorative coins were printed. Money consists of small, large kopecks and several rubles.

In total, eight coins appeared in circulation. They were issued in a circulation of 35,000 units. The money symbols are divided into three colors. Rubles

Mint issued money of two types: 1 and 2 rubles. They are made of white metal. Monetary signs in 2 rubles have a rim of gold metal. The reverse depicts face value and ornament, which personifies the aspiration of the Belarusian people to happiness, to freedom. All ornaments on the money are different, but their semantic load is the same. The coins are coarse.

The money symbols in 1 ruble are made of steel with a copper-nickel coating. The money signs in 2 rubles are made of bimetal: the middle is steel, the edges are steel with a copper-brass coating.

Copecks

The Mint issued three types of large currency: 50, 20, 10 kopecks and three types of small coins: 5, 2, 1 kopeck. Large coins of Belarus have a golden hue. On the obverse of the kopecks the same image as all the money. On the reverse side, large coins have a face and ornament, which embodies the fertility and vitality of the Belarusian land. Edge of bank notes is ribbed with segments. They are made of steel with a copper-brass coating.

Small coins have a copper shade. On the reverse, they depict face value and ornament, which personifies the wealth and wealth of the Belarusian people. Edge of money is smooth. Small denominations are made of steel with a copper coating.
