Classes of ICGS: codes, list and classifier. What is the International Classification of Goods and Services?

For the registration of each sign of new products in business, the International Classification of Goods and Services is used. At the initial stage, the applicant determines the category of his activities. In the future this will be the basis for carrying out registration procedures and determining the amount of the fee paid by the entrepreneur. The very process of selecting a category has much in common with the All-Russian Classification of Economic Activities (OKVED) used in the Russian Federation when registering companies. However, there are differences. One of the significant ones is that the International Classifier of Goods and Services covers a wider range of types of commercial activities. The entire list is divided into two sections. In the first part, the list of the ICGS includes categories from 1 to 34. The second section is shorter. In this part - the classification of services - numbering from 35 to 45 is used. Below are the applicable categories with their brief description.

1 category

1st class of the ICGS is all products of chemical production. In particular, they include:

- products of industrial, scientific, forestry, garden and agricultural purposes;

- all untreated synthetic resins and plastics materials not processed;

- various types of fertilizers;

- connections used in fire extinguishing processes;

- compositions used for hardening and soldering of metal objects;

- Means for preservation of food products;

- tannins;

- structures that have adhesive properties.

2 category

The following substances belong to this class:

- Different types of paints (drying oil, varnishes);

- means used to protect the metal from corrosion (wood from decay);

- substances that have a coloring effect;

- natural resins that have not passed the processing stage;

- Various types of metals (powder and sheet), used in artistic printing or used in decorative design.

3 category

The list of goods of the third class consists of:

- substances used in washing and bleaching;

- cleaning, polishing, degreasing preparations;

- various types of soap;

- Perfumery products (cosmetics, lotions, oils);

- Dentifrices (powders, pastes).

Checks of ICGS 4-6

Substances related to the fourth category:

- fuels and lubricants (various fuels, oils, etc.);

- chemical agents, absorbing, binding compounds of dust;

- Lighting devices.

The fifth class includes substances used in the pharmaceutical and veterinary industries. This includes hygiene items, special food (baby, diet), types of food additives, dressings (bandages, plasters), materials used in dentistry, means for disinfection and destruction of parasites, herbicides and fungicides. In the 6th grade metals, their alloys, as well as building materials made of them, mobile structures, elements for laying rails are included. The same category includes wire and cables, staples and locks, pipes and other products from the above raw materials that do not belong to other classes.

Classes of ICGS from 7 to 12

The seventh category includes:

- machine tools, machines;

- engines, connecting elements and parts that provide the transmission (the ones that are used in ground transportation vehicles are excluded);

- agricultural implements, except working with the help of manual control;

- vending machines.

By the eighth class, they include tools and tools intended for manual use. In the same category included knives and their varieties, cutlery (spoons, forks), products recognized as cold steel, razors. In grade 9, all instruments used in certain types of science and art are included. They include geodesy, cartography, photography, cinematography, as well as optics and mechanics, kinematics and statics. Also under this category are cash registers, typewriters, computers and computers.

Categories 10 through 15

Under the tenth class fall the devices used in various areas of modern medicine. This, in particular, surgery, dentistry, prosthetics, orthopedics. Also, the classification of the MKTU refers to the tenth category related materials (for example, threads for the application of medical seams). By the 11th include devices for heating, lighting, processing products with the help of heat, cooling or steam production, ventilation and drying, used in the distribution of water, sanitation equipment. The 12th class includes details of land vehicles: engines, gear elements, various types of connections. Also in this category are vehicles equipped with an air cushion. The 13th class defines firearms and pyrotechnics. By the 14th class belong:

- noble rock metals and articles thereof;

- goods related to the jewelry industry, precious stones and bijouterie;

- watches, other kinds of chronometric devices.

By the 15th grade there are musical instruments. These include, in particular, mechanical pianos with accompanying devices, caskets. This also includes electronic and electric musical instruments.

Categories 16 to 20

The list of classes of ICGS of the sixteenth section includes stationery, paper and products made on its basis. By category 17 belong:

- rubber, asbestos, rubber, gutta-percha, mica and various products from them, not included in other sections;

- goods made of partially processed plastic;

- Insulating materials;

- flexible pipes made of metal other than metal.

In the 18th grade, leather and products made of it, leatherette products, saddlery and accessories used in road conditions are included. On the 19th section there are building materials made not of metal. In particular, these are rigid pipes, bitumen, resins and asphalt, mobile structures, monuments. In the 20 class includes furniture and its plastic components, not belonging to other classes.

Categories 21 through 28. Brief description

By 21 class include:

- kitchen utensils, household utensils;

- sponges used in the farm;

- combs;

- all kinds of brushes, except brushes;

- materials intended for brushes;

- means for cleaning and cleaning;

- metal washcloths;

- untreated glass and some products from it, not related to other sections.

22 category includes: ropes and ropes, nets and tents, canopies and bags, tarpaulins and sails, stuffing materials (except rubber and plastic products), fibrous textile raw materials. Classes MKTU 23 and 24 include yarn and textile threads, products made of these materials, tablecloths, bedspreads and blankets. The 25th category includes clothes, various footwear, and also headdresses. Class 26 includes haberdashery and truncheon products. By the 27th grade, various floor coverings (linoleum, carpets, mats, mats, etc.) are referred to, wall-paper and upholstery materials made not of textiles. In the 28th section includes all kinds of toys, products designed for sports, Christmas decorations.

Categories 29 to 34. Summary

Classes MKTU 29 and 30 includes goods of food consumption of animal origin. This includes vegetables that have been trained, ready for use or conservation. These categories also include plant food products that have undergone appropriate processing, suitable for use or canning. These same classes of MKTU include food additives that improve the taste of products. To category 31 belong: unprocessed food products obtained as a result of the use of agriculture and economic activities in the forest zone, as well as animal feed. Under 32 classes are: beer, soft drinks, including carbonated and mineral water, fruit juices, compounds used to make these products. Category 33 includes alcoholic beverages (except beer). Tobacco, matches, smoking accessories belong to the 34th grade.

Categories 35 through 45

The following services are included in the 35th class:

- based on assistance in the operation (operation) of the organization (industrial, commercial, commercial);

- assistance in the management of the organization;

- advertising services.

The 36th category includes proposals in the field of financial activities, operations of the monetary and credit structure. This includes actions with real estate, insurance. In the 37th class includes services for construction and repair, installation of equipment. 38 category - is the services of telecommunications. The 39th class covers the activities of packing, moving and storing goods, as well as organizing travel. The 40th class includes materials processing services. The 41st section includes activities for the upbringing, conducting of the educational process, organization of entertainment, cultural and recreational and sporting events. To the 42nd class is referred to services in the field of science and technology. The same section includes various types of research and development, industrial analysis procedures. This category includes the maintenance and improvement of software. In the 43rd class includes the types of services for the provision of food and beverages, as well as for the provision of temporary residence. The 44th section includes medical and veterinary activities, offers in the field of cosmetology and hygiene, agriculture, horticulture and forestry. By the 45th grade are services in the legal field. The same section includes proposals to ensure the safety of individuals and property, as well as a number of individual social services to meet the interests of consumers.
