Candidiasis in men: treatment of mild and severe forms

By the results of blood tests, urine, you can see the presence of inflammation in the body, as well as assess the level of sugar and biochemical indicators of kidneys and liver functioning. The pathology of the endocrine system or internal organs can be caused by candidiasis in men. Treatment in this case will be carried out by a specialist of the appropriate profile. All this, of course, is very troublesome, but if you do not eliminate the underlying disease, against which thrush develops, any therapy will prove ineffective.
Candidiasis in men: treatment of mild forms
You should exclude from your diet any sweets (except for honey, since it has an antifungal effect, but it should not be abused), because simple carbohydrates for fungi are an ideal nutrient medium.
An effective remedy for candidiasis in men is a cream with clotrimazole. It should be applied to the glans penis after preliminary treatment with a soda solution. Treatment lasts one to two weeks, after which tests are resumed. Therapy with ointments containing antifungal components can be performed only after the establishment of an infectious agent, because if the thrush is combined with a nonspecific bacterial infection, such a remedy may not help.
In severe form, pathology usually occurs in the presence of chronic urological diseases of an infectious and inflammatory nature, endocrine diseases, diabetes mellitus. In some cases thrush constantly recurs, because there is a candidiasis of the intestine. In the absence of therapy, he will repeatedly provoke an aggravation of the pathological process. So, if severe candidiasis occurs in men, treatment includes measures aimed at eliminating the underlying disease, restoring immunity. Local therapy of thrush is also performed by taking antifungal medicines.
If there are no improvements in the patient's condition and the spread of the infection to other organs, he is hospitalized. Then, already in a hospital, treatment is carried out, including intravenous injections of antifungal drugs.
