Japanese cuisine today is very firmly entered the Russian territory. Few people do not like rolls or sushi. To me, at least, there were exceptional units that claimed that they were indifferent to these delights. But since most still respect Japanese dishes, we suggest considering such an interesting option as a roll of rolls. Nothing complicated, but original!

Sweet or salty

Initially, you need to decide which cake of rolls you want to make. It will be traditionally sweet as all cakes, or you prefer rolls with soy sauce more. Or can this issue be solved by family voting?

But on your decision depends entirely on the set of necessary products for cooking. But since we do not know on which option you will choose, we offer you two recipes for how to make a cake of rolls and sushi. But before that, we also propose to decide on its form and structure.

The first is when the selected products for the cake are laid layer by layer and the finished version has an integral structure, which, when served on the table, should be carefully cut with a sharp knife into triangular (if round cake) or rectangular (if square) pieces.

The second option is when the cake is made from individual rolls and / or sushi. That is, initially a large number of rolls (sushi) are prepared and then they are beautifully compiled for a beautiful dish in the form of a cake. The first option is easier to perform at home, since not everyone can do the rolls neatly and beautifully. And the second option can be made at home on a festive table of purchased rolls. Well, or from your own, if you have mastered the wisdom of Japanese cuisine.

As for the form, then study all the photos of this article and see that not only can the cake itself be of different shapes in height or circumference, but the rolls themselves can be made both traditionally round and in the form of hearts. The latter option can be prepared for a romantic dinner for your second half or timed, for example, to Valentine's Day (the day of all lovers). So, offer your attention the first version of the cake, which is executed layer by layer. The list of products is as follows:

1. Rice for sushi - 300 grams.

2. Nori sheet - 2 pieces.

3. Cucumber (medium) - 2 pieces.

4. Avocados - 1-2 pieces.

5. Trout or salmon slightly salted - 250-300 grams.

6. Rice vinegar.

7. Slightly salted soy sauce.

8. Wasabi.

9. Sesame seeds.

10. The root of ginger (marinated).

Preparation:

The rice should be washed several times with running water. The bigger, the better. To the full transparency of the water flowing from the colander. Allow to drain excess liquid. After this, put the rice in a saucepan, pour water in a ratio of one to one and boil the rice 10 minutes under the lid. Then remove from the fire and, without opening the pan, give the seeds to infuse another same amount of time.

Avocado and cucumber should be peeled and cut into long thin slices (it is convenient to use a special knife for this).

Slightly salted salmon (trout) should also be cut layer by layer into wide slices.

The nori sheet should be cut around the circumference or around the perimeter of the selected cake shape.

Next, the rice should be gently drizzled with vinegar and mix thoroughly.

At the bottom of the form or dish you must first put a sheet of nori. The next layer is half of the prepared rice. Here we make the observation that if you use a flat dish, it is convenient to use a sliding form in which all the layers are arranged sequentially.

Next, place the cucumber plates and the top layer of fish.

Then we have a repeat of the layers, but instead of the cucumber we will already have a layer of avocado. On the salmon or trout, put the second sheet of nori and the following layers: rice, avocado, fish.

On top of the finished cake sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Done! Now you just need to carefully remove the sliding form, cut the cake and serve it to a table with soy sauce, wasabi and marinated ginger.

Important note. If you used a deep form to make a cake, the cooking technology will change slightly. In this case, the top layer will need to be covered with another, third nori sheet. Firmly press it against the fish, so that all the layers are compacted and gently turn the cake on a flat dish, trying to keep it in shape. And since the top layer will be just dark from the nori, it will need to be decorated.

Cake made from ready-made rolls

Here, let us consider the second variant of the preparation of this dish, about which we wrote above. So, a cake of rolls. How to make yourself, when you do not know how to make the very basis, that is, these very rolls?

Here we describe to you one of the simplest versions of their preparation. We recommend not to start with complex options, but to try for the first time, for example, the famous rolls of "Philadelphia" and then decorate the finished pieces in the form of a cake.

Ingredients:

1. Nori sheet - 3 pieces.

2. Cucumber - 1-2 pieces.

3. Soft cream cheese (preferably "Philadelphia").

4. Special rice for sushi - 300 grams.

5. Avocados - 1-2 pieces.

6. Slightly salted salmon, salmon or trout - 250 grams.

7. Rice vinegar - 15 ml.

Preparation:

The rice is prepared in the same way as in the recipe for the cake, which is indicated above.

Cucumber and avocado should be cleaned and cut into long straws.

Fish fillet should be cut into wide thin layers.

Next, you need to spread the wooden mat to prepare the rolls and wrap it in a food film, over which to put the nori sheet.

The next layer is laid rice, leaving a narrow strip of a clean sheet (about 3 cm).

Afterwards there is a fish fillet.

Next, all these layers should be carefully turned onto food film, place on the edge of a clean nori slices of cucumber, avocado and a strip of cream cheese.

Start tightly twisting the "sausage" along the entire length, tightly pressing all the layers together.

After 15-20 minutes, cut into ready rolls with a very sharp knife. To issue a cake.

Decoration

You created a cake of rolls. How to make the very decoration of it, so it was festive and generally beautiful? I'll try to tell.

When you cut a cucumber, avocodo and red fish into thin slices, then from them it is very easy to screw up something like a rose or make another flower. Another good option if you make fish from bowls and fill them with red caviar or cream cheese.

Beautifully sliced cucumber layers can themselves serve as a beautiful decoration, if they are correctly decomposed.

Heaps of "ruffled" ginger in different parts of the cake will also resemble pink flowers.

Improvisation and flying fantasy in cooking

If you have a desire, you can complicate these options and add to the list of ingredients much more products from those that are actively used in Japanese cuisine. How to serve
