The city of Novosibirsk, the capital of the Siberian region, was founded in 1893 during the construction of a bridge across the Ob at the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway. This historical event predetermined the fate of the city as the largest transport center of Siberia, connecting the movement from west to east and from north to south.

Bridges in Novosibirsk

Modern Novosibirsk is not located on two banks of the Ob River and is divided into the Left and Right coasts, which are dynamically developing as large industrial, industrial and scientific entities. Accordingly, the need for satisfaction of the population's need for unhindered communication of both sides in the process of an ever increasing volume of freight and passenger traffic is growing.

To solve these issues, three bridges have been built and put into operation:

  1. Communal (year of construction 1955).
  2. Dimitrovsky (1982).
  3. Bugrinsky (2014).

In addition, there are two bridges of a narrow functional purpose: the metro bridge (1985) and the sluice bridge, at the hydroelectric power station (2007)

Construction of the Bugrinsky Bridge

The third bridge in Novosibirsk has a long history of its origin. The acute need for its construction was marked at the end of the last century, in the eighties. However, due to historical realities, the collapse of the system of state regulation of the economy in the conditions of the Soviet Union, the idea got its embodiment after almost three decades.

Only in 2009, preparatory work began on the construction of the Bugrinsky Bridge. Initially, it was called, in the working version, the Tin Bridge Plant, by the name of its construction site. In this zone there was a plant for the production of tin.

In 2013, its name was changed to "Bugrinsky", which was officially fixed in the documents. In 2010, the construction of this structure began with the laying of bridge supports. In April 2014, it was completed, when the arches were closed at an altitude of 70 meters, which became an ornament of the construction of the Bugrinsky Bridge (Novosibirsk), their photos in the present symbolize new approaches in the construction of bridge structures.

Opening

The new Bugrinsky Bridge (Novosibirsk) was commissioned in late 2014. The grand opening marked a new stage in the development of the city's transport system. By connecting the right and left bank of the city of Novosibirsk, the bridge made it possible to significantly relieve the center of the city by the level of cargo traffic.

The connection of the federal highway M51 Novosibirsk-Omsk and M52 Novosibirsk-Biysk-Tashanta, as well as the regional highway Novosibirsk-Leninsk-Kuznetsk, is the functional purpose that the Bugrinsky Bridge is carrying out under the project. Its construction was an integral part of the project to improve the transport infrastructure of state importance.

Novosibirsk in the process of building bridges serves as a transport node of the federal level increasingly. That is why the importance of building the bridge was indicated by the personal presence of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on October 8, 2014. The Bugrinsky Bridge, the opening of which became a notable event of the city, and the government delegation on its background were captured in numerous photos at the time of its commissioning, this fact became the next page of the city's history on the Ob.

Purpose and mission

The construction of the Bugrinsky Bridge is only one of the stages in the large-scale state project of the South-Western transit of Novosibirsk. This will allow to coordinate the traffic flows of the Eastern Bypass of the city and access to the federal highway M52, Omsk highway, Gusiyobrodsky tract and access to Tolmachevo airport.

Thus, the Bugrinsky Bridge, the opening of which took place along with the traffic junctions on the right and left banks (a total length of 5.5 kilometers) will be a solution to a whole range of problems of communicating the most important urban transport hubs and an element in improving the transport infrastructure of the city.

Decoupling

Bugrinsky Bridge (Novosibirsk), the opening of which was so welcome for the residents of the city, has two junctions: Vatutinskaya and Bolshevik. Together with them, the length of the Bugrinsky bridge crossing (more than two kilometers) will be more than five kilometers of the main road. Vatutinsky denouement is four entrances, one directed congress and two pedestrian bridges. The road itself is designed for six-lane traffic, the decoupling is made in the form of a "figure eight".

The denouement on Bolshevik is executed in three levels, in the form of a cascade. Its total length is more than three thousand meters and has four congresses. Thus, the Bugrinsky Bridge, whose denouement on Bolshevik makes it possible for transport to get from the right bank to the left bank with considerable time savings, considerably relieves the machine flow from the center of the city and the Academgorodok. It serves as a good solution for the redistribution of transport load on a city scale.

Bridge as a symbol of the city

From its inception to the present, the bridge remains a symbol of the city. As its essence, purpose and perspective. Therefore, much attention on the part of society is given to the fact that the Bugrinsky Bridge (Novosibirsk) was built. Opening This structure became a subject of wide discussion.

The symbol of the unification of the two sides of a single whole - the municipal entity, really has a great creative meaning. This is the way to the organic integrity of the city and the civilized system of urban transport communications. Bugrinsky Bridge, photo of which was decorated with pages of personal blogs of Novosibirsk, served as an occasion for creating a chronicle of the construction of city bridges.

Problems

Further development of the transport infrastructure remains a priority for both municipal and state policy. With the economic prerequisites of the current state of the city and the intensity of development of a personal vehicle fleet, according to experts, it is necessary to design not the fourth but the seventh bridge.

The Bugrinsky bridge, the discovery of which in Novosibirsk has become an important stage in solving transport problems, does not solve the main issue. It consists in the fact that it is necessary not to follow the problems, it is more important to warn them in the future. For this, at least two more bridges on the Ob are needed.

Prospect of bridge construction

The construction of the fourth bridge is stipulated by the general development plan of Novosibirsk. A new girder bridge crossing is erected across the Ob River in the alignment of Ippodromskaya Street. Financing of construction is planned to be carried out with attraction of private capital. And this means that in the city will be opened toll roads.

That's all that can be briefly told about the Bugrinsky Bridge, the discovery of which showed, on the one hand, the importance of further development of the transport infrastructure. On the other hand, the need for new forms of raising capital for solving urban transport problems. The protracted construction of the Bugrinsky Bridge and, accordingly, the faster growth of transport insoluble contradictions dictate the need for rapid decision-making on the creation of investment attractiveness of bridge structures.
